Nigel always looked unapproachable. But he made Elvira feel warm. His gentleness made him irresistible.

Elvira found that he was tender only to her. To others, he was still that same old aloof Nigel.

Looking at the breakfast on her desk, Elvira was worried that one day, she might fall madly in love with Nigel.

That thought scared her. She kept reminding herself that all this was unreal. All they had was merely a contract marriage.

Three years. Three years later, they would separate and become strangers. His tenderness would be given to another woman. When that thought crossed her mind, somehow, she felt dejected.

"Elvira Tao, get ready to board the plane!"

Bernice said to Elvira in a kind tone.

Elvira nodded, feeling flattered. Bernice had never reminded her of getting ready before. But today, she did. The look on her face gave Elvira a weird feeling.

The plane landed after midnight. Elvira was tired. She intended to take a cab to go home.

    The home where Nigel was.

The thought of Nigel made her a bit uncomfortable, but compared with the home where she was treated like a servant, it was much more appealing.

Where there was love, there was a home. Where your heart belonged, that was home.

The night was enchanting. Lights lit up the arrivals hall. People passed by her in a hurry.

No sooner had she walked out of the hall than she met Nigel’s intense eyes. He stood there, smiling at her.

It was already 1:30 a.m. Nigel and Elvira looked at each other, silent. Warmth filled her heart.

    "You must be tired,"

he said, walking up to her. "Here. It helps lift your spirit," he added as he gave her a warm carton of milk.

Elvira wondered, He is so thoughtful. The powerful men I’ve heard of are all cold. How come he is so tender?

"Care to have dinner with me? I’m hungry,"

    asked Nigel.

"We flight attendants need to keep slim,"

she laughed shyly, slapping his shoulder. The passersby gazed at them. They indeed looked like a happy newly-wed couple.

Nigel grabbed her hand. Elvira looked at him nervously. Under the light, her eyes were so bright.

Looking her in the eye, Nigel couldn’t help kissing her on the lips.

The kiss was so sudden Elvira was startled and staggered backwards. Nigel reached out and caught her.

It was a small kiss, but passionate. Elvira blushed.

Nigel looked at her affectionately. He suppressed the urge to kiss her again and led her outward.

Ferguson had been waiting outside. He had seen everything through the window.

In the past few years, Nigel had never shown any interest in any woman surrounding him. Ferguson had even suspected that he was gay.

Now he knew that his boss was not gay. It was just that those women were not his type.

Elvira can win Nigel's heart. She is good, he thought. Then something dawned on him.

He realized that she resembled someone. Does Nigel like her because...He didn’t dare to go on.

He was Nigel’s butler and driver. He had been working for him since Nigel was little, so although he was only ten years older than Nigel, he was like a parent to him.

Nigel’s mom died young, and his father neglected him. Thus, Nigel was even closer to Ferguson than to his father.

But not as close as to his grandfather.

So Ferguson knew Nigel very well.

Back home, Nigel went to the kitchen to cook. Elvira stood at the door, watching him, feeling uneasy.

"It's okay. Just stand at the door and watch."

He smiled at her and continued to cook.

He had been unyielding since he was little.

Last time he had cooked for Elvira, it had been a failure. After that, he squeezed time from his tight schedule and learned how to cook. He wanted to be a good cook in front of his wife.

However, it was not that easy. He was creating a mess in the kitchen. Elvira couldn’t watch anymore.

"Um, let me help you," she offered cautiously.

    "I’m good.

    You just stay there."

He was a man. It would be embarrassing if he couldn’t even handle such a trifle as cooking. Besides, he had failed in cooking once. He couldn't fail again.

Hearing what he said, Elvira had to stay put. After a while, when her legs started to go numb, finally she heard him say, "Dinner is ready."

    She was relieved.

The dishes were simple, but they were obviously well-prepared and looked yummy. Elvira was impressed.

Last time, he was a layman. How had he made such progress in such a short time?

The admiration in her eyes made Nigel gloat. The cooking lessons paid off.

Elvira had always cooked for others. Since her mom died, Nigel was the only one that had cooked for her. Thinking of this, Elvira felt a surge of sadness.

Noticing her red eyes, Nigel asked, "Are you touched by my cooking? Is it that good?"

Elvira was amused. "Yeah, the dishes are so tasty."

This is the best dinner I’ve ever had, she thought.

After dinner, Elvira walked into the bathroom to have a shower. When she walked out, Nigel was on her bed.

    Just like last night.

Once again, Nigel seduced her and acted casual.

Elvira was speechless. She walked over to him and was going to ask him to leave.

However, as soon as she got close enough to him, he sprang up and pulled her onto the bed.

Elvira was stunned. How could he do this to her? She thought he was a gentleman.

She thought he was only joking around like last night. But now it seemed he meant it.

She stared at him, motionless. Her long eyelashes fluttered, tugging at his heartstrings.

Actually, he had missed her and come to her bedroom to see her. When she walked out of the bathroom, he wanted to tease her a little. But the sight of her in a bathrobe excited him.

Her long black hair was dripping water. Her cheeks were rosy. Water gathered in beads on her eyelashes. Her bright eyes shone in the dim light. The collar of her robe was opened slightly, revealing her beautiful neck and her sexy clavicles. Her fair shins and thin ankles were so perfect. One sight and he couldn't take his eyes off her anymore.

He forgot what he had come here for. His physical instinct overwhelmed his mind.

Before he knew it, he had already pressed Elvira against the bed.
