    The Kickass Heroine

Jasmine swore that she would have never agreed to such a disgusting request if it were not for giving a good lesson to that randy old man, who had not been keeping hands off her during the audition. Wanna be my sugar daddy? Never thought about it!

Seeing Jasmine blushing, Edward was in a good mood.

“Come and let me hug you.” Said Edward.

It was rare that Jasmine said nothing, but obediently went toward him.

Edward started kissing her as he held her in his arms, and inserted his restless big hand into her coat.

At night, Jasmine lay on the bed alone, suddenly, she missed Edward so desperately. However, they just got separated in the afternoon.

Having no intention to sleep, she started playing on the phone. She went to Baidu to search Edward Chu, and his personal profile came out.

“Edward Chu, a famous actor, was born in City B, Province S in April, 1993. He is the grandson of Henry, an outstanding entrepreneur of Country Z, and the son of Henry Junior, who is also an outstanding entrepreneur. In 2007, by playing in The Eightieth Floor directed by Cameron, Edward shot to fame; In 2009, he was awarded Most Promising Newcomer of the Year; In September of the same year, he played Bruce in costume film, Peach Blossoms Beam; In 2012, He, in which Edward played, became a big success at the box office, which broke 1 billion; In 2013, he was awarded the Best Actor of the Year; In the meanwhile, he started fading out; In 2015, by playing in TV series, Man of the Times, he made a comeback...”

Bit by bit, Jasmine scanned this information, and recalled what she had known about him before. In fact, it was not because of his performance that she started paying attention to him. She was still at college then, and her mother was sick and in hospital. She was rather upset, walked out of Inpatient Department, and strolled outside.

In August, it should have been stinking hot. However, it had been raining continually for days and there were few people outside. Jasmine walked to a long bench, sat down, and brought a cigarette out of her pocket.

She was either so attentive or distractive that she was startled and dropped the cigarette on her pants as someone spoke to her ear. She picked the cigarette up, intended to put it in her mouth again, but her wrist was held by someone. The man pulled a little hard, and the cigarette dropped on the ground.

“Even life is so hard, a girl shouldn’t smoke so much.”

Jasmine raised her head and looked at the man speaking to her. His angular face was full of gloom, black circles under his eyes were obvious, and his beard hadn’t been shaved off for days.

“Better than a man like you weeping secretly.” Said Jasmine. She looked at his eyes which were a little red. It turned out that he was the same as herself, who had been tortured by birth and old age, sickness and death, sorrow and happiness, and separations and reunions.

The man ignored her, walked ahead, and went toward Inpatient Department. Jasmine looked at the cigarette on the ground, which had been wetted by the wet ground and stood out in a pile of cigarette butts. However, she had no desire to have another cigarette.

Jasmine followed the man. He did not take the lift but climbed the stairs. It was raining outside in the evening, the stairwell was in darkness, and there was nobody else there. At that time, she had no idea what his charm was and it made her follow him but not to feel any dangerous.

Going up floor by floor, he didn’t even catch his breath as he reached the eighteenth floor. Jasmine’s mother was in the eighteenth floor, however, he didn’t stop but continued going up. So she followed him all the way to the twentieth floor.

He put his hands in the pockets of his black baseball uniform, and wore a pair of white running shoes, water stains clinging to the edge of the shoes.

Stopping outside the third ward, he quietly looked inside through the windows. A doctor happened to come over, and then they left together. It was an ICU. Jasmine moved forward, stood by the door, and looked inside. It was an old man who was lying in bed, with tubes and needles attached to him everywhere. Quietly, his eyes were closed, and it was only the heart rate recorder at work that could proved he was still alive. Sighing a deep sigh, Jasmine went back to her mother’s ward, and never went up to the twentieth floor again.

Jasmine thought about these. It was in 2013, and Jasmine at 19 years old met Edward at 21 years old. Two years later, as he appeared in the headlines again, Jasmine seemed to have set her life goal and decided what she wanted to do in future.

Reading the headlines piece by piece, she found a link under First commercial shot by Edward. She clicked the link and found it was a commercial for swimming trunks.

In the video, he jumped into the swimming pool to have a swim, and then slowly walked up from the swimming pool. In a minute, she saw his tight muscle and V lines, as if she had been teased and tempted. Immediately she turned off the video, put her phone down, and went to the bathroom and took a shower. Not until cold water dripped on her did she realize how ridiculous she was. Since when had she become so lecherous?

She took a drawing board out of her backpack. In fact, she didn’t expect it would be used during shooting scenes. It was just her habit to carry a drawing board with herself.

Jasmine especially liked sketch. She had been learnt it since she was a child. Her family conditions were fairy good when she was young, and her mother encouraged her to have a special skill and signed her up for a course of sketch. She had kept drawing a sketch per day for years, but only drew less after entering into the show business. Because she didn’t have much time.

In hindsight, Jasmine realized who she was drawing was exactly Edward. Since when had he broken into her heart?

She got up early the next morning, had a stroll outside, and then went to the ground floor and had breakfast. Amanda was there, too. Seeing Jasmine, she was much calmer than last time when she was in the cliff for filming. She rolled her eyes at Jasmine, and went on having her breakfast.

Jasmine didn’t care about it much, and she didn’t want her mood spoiled because of Amanda.

These days, the crew were speeding up the filming. Because both the leading actor and the leading actress got injured before, scenes of others were almost over, and even some people had gone back. Fortunately, both Edward and Jasmine were strength actor and actress, and could perform their roles perfectly and handle themselves very well.

The day when the filming was completed, the crew members stayed for a dinner party. Having some wine, getting a little tired, Jasmine fell asleep immediately after going back to her room.

Edward knocked at the door several times, but nobody answered. So he opened the door with the keycard brought by Brad last time.

The light was on, and the woman was sleeping in bed quietly, not getting changed.

With a strong smell of alcohol, Edward took off her clothes, tucked her in, and then left. He was afraid that he could no longer restrain himself from a desire deep inside if he stayed for another minute.

“I will spare you this time.” Thought Edward.
