    "I can take a taxi."

"I thought you just said you wanted to treat me."

"Oh, now?" She asked thinking about what she was wearing. It was an old green t-shirt that had taken her about three years to finally grow into and some black baggy pants.

"Fine, if you wanna wait we can wait but then you'll have to give me your number." He explained. "What, you saying you don't want my number?" She said making it sound like she was offended.

"I mean hey if you'll give me your number I'll gladly except." Dalia scoffed at his comment and climbed into his truck before he shut it for her. -Well he's quite amusing.-

"So, to your house?" He asked looking at Dalia whose gaze was focused on some flowers blooming in bushes in a garden in front of the hospital building. A few seconds of silence passed before she comprehended that she was being spoken to. "Oh, um no we can go to wherever you want to get food."

Blake cranked up the truck and backed out of the space. As they left the parking lot he glanced at Dalia whose gaze was again fixed on the flowers.

"Are those your favorite flowers?" He asked not knowing what she would say. He knew that they were at one point. "I think they used to be." She answered honestly.

Blake felt a little shock, -could she be remembering. Wait, the doctor mentioned her accident. Now could be my only chance.-

"I heard the doctor say something about an accident, are you ok now?" Silence again settled in the truck. Blake used his peripheral vision to see her again. Her face clearly expressing that she was in some sort of deep thought. Blake didn't want her to feel uncomfortable, he was still a stranger to her after all.

"You don't have to answer that if you don't wanna." He said wishing he could take back his question if it would make her feel any better.

"No its alright....Im kinda alright. I actually don't remember what happened, my parents wont tell me and they wont tell me why they wont tell me. Whatever did happen made me lose a years worth of memory though." She sighed when she finished explaining.

    "I've always pushed myself to

remember but my time is almost up and there's just no use. Without a reminder from that year I don't know what could be the ignition that would ignite that spark."

Blake thought of something he could say or ask that wouldn't make her suspicious. He got his answer much quicker than expected. "What about your house? When you went back did that do anything for you?"

"Actually I never got to see it after my accident, my parents moved us here after the accident. I mean like as soon as I was discharged we drove over to this town."

"So you know what town you were in at least?"

Dalia looked over at him understanding where he was going. -Why didn't I ever think of that.- She thought. "You're right, I never even thought to go back there. Actually I don't think I would've had a choice before but now I don't live with my parents."

Blake let out a small laugh. -Still good at reading people I see.-

"I know you don't know me too well but well....mind if I tag along?" He asked. It was too late for Blake. He was hypnotized by the sweet look of the girl from his dreams, only they weren't dreams they were memories and she couldn't be more real.

Dalia gave him a peculiar look. He was right, she didn't know him all that well but he seemed like a good soul and she had a feeling that he really was. "Sure but I'm in a show, at the place you dropped my wallet off at. We can go but it'll have to be the next time I've got a couple days off, ya know...to explore the place." She said quite mischievously.

    "Makes sense, we're here."

Dalia's face went from trouble-making to excited real quick when she saw where he had taken her. "What? This is my favorite place." She exclaimed like it was the biggest coincidence that ever happened to her. "Mine to." Blake knew very well she loved it and he genuinely liked it to. -I like it because of you Dalia.- He thought.

She was the one who brought him to experience his first time at one of these places.

After getting a table they ordered fairly quickly. "So... you know where I'm from, where I live, where I work, and everything on my ID. What about you?"

"Well... I'm actually from the same place you are, I live at 1234 east pine street, I work at a construction company with a friend and it pays well so I don't have to do it too often. Lastly, im 6,1 I weigh 260 pounds, im a female, I've got blue eyes." Before he went on Dalia's laugh interrupted.

    "Ok smartpants."

She could believe everything about him except his last two statements. He obviously wasn't a female and his eyes were the same bright green color of her own eyes.

Blake let out a laugh to. -Dalia, still don't cuss do ya? Well I guess I can't call you a goody two shoes with some of the things you've done.-

The food arrived nice and quick, they both got stuffed. "Are you sure you still want ice cream?" Dalia asked wondering how big his appetite was.

"How about we plan that for the trip when we go to your hometown."

Dalia liked the sound of that and agreed without a second thought. "Do you want me to bring you to your car?"

"Nah, I don't go many places and normally take the bus when I do so it'll be fine there."

Then Blake drove Dalia home for the night. "Thanks for today, it was definitely a stress reliever." She said hopping out. "No problem, ill see ya for the trip then." Blake responded trying not to sound too excited. Then Dalia walked inside and watched as Blake pulled out of her mid-sized driveway.
