York didn’t like men who looked feminine. So all the staffs were requested to wear simple and sharp.

“Are you the employee of our company?” Nell hesitated for a while and asked.

It might be unpolite, for it was the first time they met. Nell still asked it because of her curiosity.

The man gently smiled and shook his head, “No I am not. I just drop by and have some affairs to do. I come here to take two contracts. I introduce myself. I come from the branch office.”

In the meanwhile, the man took out a visiting card and gave it to Nell.

It wrote Carter Cheng.

Nell looked up at the man and smiled. She politely reached out her hand and shook hands with the man, “Hello, my name is Nell Su. I am the super assistant of boss York.”

“I have heard of your name.”

Carter helped Nell arrange the files together. Then he politely bowed and said, “I have helped you picked up the files. I still have other things to do. I will go.”

“Alright.”

Nell stood there. She wanted to let Carter pass first.

“Oh, by the way.” Carter was about to leave. Then he seemed to think over something and looked back at Nell and said seriously, “I don’t know whether I have the honor to buy you a drink?”

“I am willing to do so.”

Nell didn’t reject Carter. She just said yes directly.

Honestly, now Nell was not busy. Drinking with Carter would not be a problem.

Nell thought in her heart. Then she happily carried the files and walked to the market department.

“Boss, this afternoon my sister will come. Can I go in advance? I need to pick her up at the train station.”

Nell put the files on York’s desk and worriedly asked.

Because in these days, Nell didn’t behave that well. From time to time she would make some tiny mistakes. So when she said this to York, Nell would think whether she could leave in advance or not.

York was entirely focused on his work. When he heard what Nell said, he just nodded. York wasn’t an unreasonable person, “Alright, you go to pick her up. Then you come back.”

“Alright.”

Nell happily said yes. Then she came back to her office.

Yesterday night, Rose had already told Nell when she would arrive.

Nell took out her phone and checked again. Rose would come at four.

She looked up at the clock. It was already 3:20. Nell hurriedly took her bag and went out.

It was uneasy for Nell to take a bus at this time. Nell probably needed to wait for a while. If she went out a bit later, she might not be able to get to the train station before four.

Nell anxiously went out. When she got to the gate, she thought, “I should be so stingy. Should I take a cab there?”

But when she checked the pocket. She didn’t have much money. Then Nell just said, “Forget about it. I can take the cab when I go back. It doesn’t matter that I go there by bus. Anyway I don’t carry anything. I only need to stand in the bus for a while.”

The distance between Nell’s company to the train station wasn’t far. But in such a hot day, even if the bus had AC, everyone would be sweaty when they got on the bus. When they got dried in the bus, the smell was stinking.

Nell had already tasted the smell two days ago. So she would rather walk rather than take the bus.

But today, Nell had to.

This was the reason why Nell was thirst to improve her life quality.

Though money wasn’t everything, it was still needed.

Nell stood on the smelly bus for 40 minutes. She finally got to the south square of the train station.

Nell felt released when she got off the bus.

Compared to the bus inside, outside was hotter. But it didn’t have the stink smell. It made Nell better.

Nell walked to the train station and made a call to Rose.

Today Nell didn’t have enough time. So she didn’t want to waste the time. Nell hurried Rose to get out. She needed to take Rose back and settle down her in her place. Then she needed to go back and work.

If Nell didn’t need to work overtime, she could just wait Rose to come. Then she could take Rose to eat. They might even go shopping.

But today, Nell couldn’t do this.

At this time, the phone was on, “Sister, I arrived. Where are you now?”

“Have you got off the train?” When Nell heard Rose’s voice, she became happier. So many days, Nell was always surrounded by bad news. Today finally she had a good one.

“Sister, you don’t know. I have suffered a lot all the way.” Rose said with tiredness. “I am walking out to the south square. You just wait me at the exit. Otherwise I would get lost. My phone battery only has2% off. It would die down soon.”

“Alright.”

So Nell quickly cut the phone. She didn’t want Rose to use up her phone power.

What if something happened. It would just be awkward for Nell.
