“Linda, those photos, did you deal with them properly?” Sully asked. She was now holding a glass of red wine. Her face looked rather terrible because she was being extremely angry. Hatred and jealousy were written all over her face.

“Yes, sure. Don’t worry about that. As for Hailey, I don’t think she will compete with you to make Mr. Zhang fall in love with her. Probably she is eager to marry someone. I’ve heard that she even agreed to go on blind dates with others.”

Sully was relieved a bit to hear this news. She was no more showing a horrible face now. “Humph! Whether she intends to seduce Edward or not, I just hate it when she stays with Edward.”

They then exchanged looks with each other before both of the two smiled at the same time. Their smiles were absolutely vicious. They seemed to be plotting something terrible.

When Lucy was about to send the driver to pick Hailey up, Hailey called her.

“Aunt Lucy, there is something I have to talk to you,” Hailey said in a humble and respectful tone.

“Sure! What’s is it? Feel free to talk to me. Did you change your mind and don’t want to go on the date?” Lucy replied as she squinted her eyes. Her voice turned cold consequently.

“No, you got me wrong.” Hailey took a deep breath before she spoke again. “You know it, Aunt Lucy, I’ve been always dressing like a high school student. I’m afraid Mr. Wang will not like me, which would embarrass you,” she said in a seemingly careful tone as if she had collected all her courage.

Lucy sighed in relief secretly. That was not a piece of bad news as long as Hailey did not refuse to you. “Oh, I see. How about this? I will take you to the shopping mall and buy some clothes. You must dress properly.”

“Yes, thank you, Aunt Lucy.” Hailey’s voice immediately became a happy one.

She is such a poor and narrow-minded girl who has no idea how to dress properly, Lucy thought.

Hailey hung up. She sat in front of the dressing mirror and blinked her clear and bright eyes. They looked like those of a smart fox’s.

Now that Lucy was so passionate about the way she dressed, she would surely do something to make her “satisfied”.

In the shopping mall, Lucy and Hailey were going shopping.

“Aunt Lucy, that’s so kind of you to care about my marriage. And here you are, buying me the clothes! I’m really grateful. I am actually feeling a bit sorry because it will cost you so much,” Hailey thanked.

“You are very welcome! Those are just some clothes. I can afford them at the least,” Lucy replied as she forced out a fake smile.

Lucy was too old to closely follow the trend of the times, so she had no idea when Hailey took her to a world-famous clothing store. The price in that store was totally out of Lucy’s expectation. However, she had those words word calming that she would afford those clothes, so she had to put up with it and pretended that she was okay to pay for them. What was worse, convinced by the salesclerk, Hailey chose three outfits and two sets of jewelry to match her clothes.

“Aunt Lucy, what should we do now? The salesclerk said that these clothes really fit me very much. She also said that I will look more beautiful if I put the jewelry on,” Hailey asked in an innocent voice.

Though unwilling to admit this, Lucy had to say that Hailey had a really pretty face and figure so that she would like just fine no matter what kind of clothes she wore. She even looked more beautiful that Sully, a superstar.

The moment Lucy intended to make a comment, the salesclerk cut in in a flattering tone at that point in time, “This is my very first to see such a kind aunt like you to bring her niece to go shopping. You are so kind-hearted, Mrs. Zhang. And you are so generous to buy all of them for your niece. You are really a charming senior, Mrs. Zhang.”

Lucy had nothing to do but force out a smile. Actually, she was very unhappy when Hailey indicated that she wanted to buy all of them. However, being flattered by the salesclerk, she had to pay for them in order to show her kindness and generosity. “All right. We will take them all.”

“No problem!” the salesperson responded with a big smile before she left to wrap all those clothes and jewelry. She was going to earn a large amount of commission.

On the way to the restaurant, Lucy’s face remained unhappy. Her eyebrows were furrowed deeply, which implied that she felt so terrible for spending such a large amount of money in order to buy Hailey clothes and jewelry.

It had almost cost her a million.

Hailey was such a prodigal girl.

“Aunt Lucy, do you think Mr. Wang will like me if he sees me dress like this?” Hailey asked. Her delicate nose and eyes showed her beauty to everyone. When she smiled shyly, it made people feel the urge to protect this fragile girl more.

Was she really the girl who used to fight with others and create troubles?

Lucy smiled unwillingly and said, “Sure, he will like you. He will like you more if you take the initiative to talk to him.”

“Yes, I got it,” Hailey replied in a timid tone as if she were the most naive girl in the world.

Ahh, a daughter with no parents to teach! She is so shortsighted and shameless, Lucy thought as she snorted coldly in her heart.

Lucy’s black BMW stopped in front of the gate of The Emperor Hotel, a five-star hotel. They were going to meet Terry Wang, the candidate of Hailey’s husband Lucy had chosen for her. The lobby boy greeted them affably.

The second Hailey got out of the car, all the men turned around to look at her.

She was wearing a simple white coat and jeans. However, those simple clothes failed to cover her beauty. She was just too attractive.

Lucy saw those men’s eyes. She could not help growing more jealous of her. She then said in a loud voice deliberately, “Hailey, you were once a trouble-maker. Please don’t tell it to Mr. Wang later. Just keep it a secret.”

“Okay,” Haley replied. She did not feel embarrassed at all being teased by Lucy. Instead, she took her Chanel bag and went to the restroom happily.

About ten minutes later, she went out of the restroom.

She walked toward the box where Lucy and Terry Wang were in carefully. Before she pulled the door open, she heard a man say, “My wife is really a rude woman. And she actually doesn’t care whether I have other women or not as long as I give her enough money! Probably she would accept Miss Hailey as my mistress.”

Fxxk you, Hailey could not help but curse silently in her heart. This old and ugly man was a married man!

Lucy, you are really doing a good job to find me a married man! How vicious you are! I’ve already prepared something special for you because you deserve it, Hailey said inwardly.

She then pulled the door open politely and greeted them in a seemingly delightful tone, “Hello, Mr. Wang. What a pleasure to meet you! I’m sorry I was a little bit late.”

The two who were talking happily turned to look at Hailey. Their smiles froze the moment they saw her.

Terry firstly realized something was wrong. He spat the tea in her mouth onto Lucy’s face uncontrollably. He was too scared to speak fluently. “Who… Who is this woman? Is… Is she Miss Hailey who you said to be a very beautiful woman?” Terry pointed at Hailey with his trembling fingers.

“A very beautiful woman?” Hailey said and laughed out exaggeratedly. “Ha ha. I am not! Everyone knows that the adopted girl in the Zhang Family is a high school girl. Haven’t you heard of it?”

“Hailey! What’s wrong with you? Why are you dressing like this? Are you deliberately trying to make me angry?” Lucy pounded on the table and stood up with rage.

Hailey opened her red lips and said in an aggrieved tone, “Aunt Lucy, I am dressing the way you asked me to. And it was you who told me to dress more maturely. See, the red lips. I chose the lipstick very carefully. Don’t you remember those words you said to me?”

“You… You…” Lucy almost jumped with anger. However, all Hailey said was the truth and Lucy could not find any excuse to refute back.

“Is that the way you dressed yourself carefully?” Terry Wang gritted from his teeth as he stared at the horrible and ugly make-up on Hailey’s face. He shivered so badly that his dentures almost dropped.

“Yes. I’m not that pretty. So I have to wear make-up when I go out. Didn’t Aunt Lucy tell you about it?” Hailey replied in an astonished tone. She then turned to Lucy and said, “Aunt Lucy, didn’t you? You should be frank to Mr. Wang and tell him to the truth.”

Terry’s face grew darker. Suddenly, he took a deep breath and asked, “What’s the smell? It’s so disgusting.”

Hailey walked closer to Terry Wang awkwardly and said shyly, “Didn’t Aunt Lucy tell you that I have a serious body odor?”

Terry Wang opened his eyes wide in surprise. He was genuinely scared by her.

Hailey continued, “Now that you are going to be my husband, I think I must be frank to you. I don’t have many vices except that I have body odor, and that I smell bad. Oh, besides, I may sleepwalk sometimes and I always fight with others. That’s the overall picture of me!”

“All right! All right! That’s enough! You are too perfect for me to be a match for. I’m sorry but I have to leave now,” Terry said immediately as he shook his head. He then shot a fierce glare at Lucy before he turned around, trying to leave.

But before he could walk out of the box, he felt dizzy all of a sudden. The world in his eyes seemed to be fuzzy.

He hummed before he embraced the woman in front of him subconsciously.

The moment Terry Wang hugged Lucy in his arms, he felt his body burning like fire.

Lucy was shocked and scared by his behavior. She screamed with fear, “Terry! Stay away from me! What are you doing?"

The woman in his arms was as beautiful as a fairy and was staring at him with affectionate eyes. She was absolutely much prettier than Hailey - an ugly and sticky girl.

Terry Wang was unable to think about anything. He was out of his mind completely now. Ignoring Lucy’s screaming and struggling, he put her against the table forcefully, kissing her randomly.

“Oh my! What’s happening now? Aunt Lucy, are you all right?” Hailey screamed in a seemingly stunned tone. Meanwhile, she took out her phone and began to shoot pictures.

“No, no, Hailey. Stop it! Go and call somebody for help! Please, help me,” Lucy shouted out desperately. Both her clothes and her hair were a mess. And her make-up was destroyed too thanks to Terry Wang.

A woman could hardly compete with a man when it came to the body strength.

The more violently Lucy struggled, the more excited Terry Wang became.

He tore her coat off all of a sudden.

“Oh Gosh! This is just too amazing!” Hailey was busying shooting, recording everything.

Seeing that Terry Wang was about to tear Lucy’s pants, Hailey stopped and stated loudly, “Aunt Lucy, don’t worry. I’m going to call the security to help you now! Wait here.”

“Terry! You bastard! How could you do this to me! I’m going to kill you!” Lucy cried heartbrokenly while cursing Terry.

A cunning smile crept onto Hailey’s lips. She turned around and left the box. Before she went far, she bumped into a man’s strong chest.

The perfume smells familiar. Nice smell, Hailey thought.

But soon, she immediately realized who the man might be.

She lifted her head up in a hurry and met Edward’s eyes. They were still as mysterious and deep as usual.

The evil smile was still resting on her face.

Still, she tried hard to calm down and greeted, “Hello, Edward. What a coincidence to meet you here!”
