“What?”

Nell Su never thought that York Gu would do such thing to her.

This aggressive hug made her panic.

She was held in York’s arms. Nell wanted to get away from this hug which almost made her out of breath. But York would not let her go easily.

York put his hand on Nell’s shoulder, pushing her into his arms. He didn’t want her to leave this warm hug.

After around three minutes, York lessened his strength. Finally Nell could get away from it.

As soon as Nell felt the strength lessened, she stepped backward, and kept a safe distance between her and York.

Nell just got away from York’s hug. She was choked by herself. She kept coughing and her face turned red.

When York saw this, his first reaction was that Nell was scared by what he had done.

He quickly took a paper napkin and passed it to Nell. He said, “Thank you for staying with me today for such a long time. You have enlightened me.”

“It is not a big deal. You don’t need to say thank you.”

Nell waved her hand. She tired to calm herself down.

At this time, Nell didn’t want to have other relationship with York.

She only had work in her mind. She wanted to make money to repay the debt for her father.

The poor Nell, she didn’t have the right to love.

Nell understood it clearly. So she always wanted to keep distances with York.

She even believed that she didn’t need to do it. Nell thought that she was self-sentimental to think that York felt for her.

Obviously, York was a tender and rich man. Many girls wanted to get close to him.

Why would York be so interested in Nell?

Or it was just Nell’s illusion.

Nell dared not to think about this or guessed York’s intention. She just opened the door and ran upstairs hastily.

York sat in the car. He watched Nell walk to the fourth floor and opened the door. He didn’t leave until the light of the corridor was deemed.

York didn’t know why he was so interested about his personal assistant.

Seeing the light in the distance, York couldn’t figure out what he was thinking.

Finally he felt that life had something meaningful.

A warm smile appeared on York’s face.

Then he realized that this wholehearted smile had not been appeared since he was grounded at home.

Even if there were many things to deal with in the company and all kinds of disturbing matters to solve, this present moment is precious to York.

“Father…”

Carol Li wiped her mouth with the paper napkin and said, “I want to discuss something with you.”

William curiously looked at his baby daughter and asked, “My daughter, what is it. I will do everything to help you.”

Hearing what father said, Carol didn’t speak out directly what she wanted. “Father, I am not a young girl anymore. Will you consider about my marriage?”

William didn’t except that Carol would initiate this discussion with him, because for a very long period of time, after the engagement with York, Carol never mentioned that she wanted to get married.

So William didn’t want to force Carol to get married. He just wanted her to cultivate feelings with York instead of being his wife in one shot.

But out of his astonishment, Carol initiate this issue herself.

Carol thought that she had said it euphemistically. What she didn’t except was that her sly father had already seen through what she thought.

“Father, tell you the truth.” Carol thought for a while and said, “Here is the thing. I don’t know what had happened to York lately. He seemingly doesn’t want to see me or care about me. His attitude is different from before.”

“So?”

William probably guessed what Carol said about. Still he pretended that he didn’t know it. “What do you want me to help you?”

“Can you talk to York’s family on my behalf? Settle down the marriage as soon as possible. Can you do this father?”

Carol acted like a spoiled child to her father.

William liked to see Carol behave like this since she was young. No matter what, so long as it was not excessive, within his capability, William would just say yes.

“Alright.”

William could do nothing but say yes to his daughter. “Chance Li, help me contact York’s family. Next Friday I want to have a visit to their house personally. Will you go with me?”

Though William was asking Chance’s opinion. Chance knew it that he, his sister or mother, they couldn’t say no to William.

Their mother Queenie Yao laughed. She added one some soup for William and said, “You must go with your father. It is not a small thing. It concerns about Carol’s lifetime happiness. We must be serious about it.”

“Mom you are right.”

Hearing mother’s word, Carol felt so happy.
