“My son, you should know, we always support your career. This time we asked you to stay at home because we want you to take a break from your work. Don’t push yourself too hard. We are not detaining you at home. You must understand that you can’t always be busy. You need to take some breaks and relax in order to reboot your work.”

York Gu’s mother was full of love. She looked at York and continued, “I know your father was indeed too harsh to you. I will talk about it with him. But you must understand what’s your goal. After taking a rest, you could perform better with a clear goal.”

“Alright mom, I know.”

York answered and promised his mother to work harder on his work, but he was a bit confused with her mother’s implied meaning, and also about his ultimate goal.

Did he truly know what he was looking for?

York finally realized that what he had done before, he only filled himself with all sorts of work. He never thought clearly about what he really wanted.

Just like what Nell Su said, a person without a goal, he would be nothing.

While thinking, York went for a jog.

Running with upbeat music, he suddenly felt relaxed.

Though York was not allowed to work in the company right now, but he was contented that he could go back to company soon under his father’s permission.

However, when he was allowed to return to his office, he thought that he was too optimistic and naïve about his situation.

This morning, unlike normal, York energetically woke up. He even sang when washed his face and brushed his teeth. Cleary he was happy.

When he went downstairs, he found that his mother was waiting him at the table.

“Mom, why do you get up so early this morning?’

York was kind of confused. Still, he naturally sat beside his mom. He took a piece of pancake and put on some butter. He asked, “Are you worried that what I will face when I go to the company?”

“Indeed, I am a little worried.” York’s mother still kept her smiling face and handed a cup of hot milk to York.

York just laughed. His mother’s over concern, he said, “It is not my first time to go to work. I just return to my work after taking a long rest at home. Mom, you don’t need to worry about me.”

“Alright.”

York’s mother nodded and went to the balcony to do morning yoga.

York had some simple breakfast and grabbed an apple. Then he went downstairs to take his car. He wanted to arrive the company a bit earlier than usual.

When York arrived the lobby of the company. There were not many staffs in the morning. York saw few staffs who hurried to their office with their breakfast.

“Isn’t that Mr Gu?”

One girl had saw York. She weirdly asked her colleagues and said carefully, “I thought that he won’t come back to the company anymore? Why does he show up this morning?”

“Mr. Gu has always been in the company, hasn’t him?” Her colleagues turned to the girl at the back and took a glance York’s direction. “Are…are you saying… another Mr. Gu?”

“Yes, of course. Who else do you think I was talking about? You think I’m stupid?”

The girl rolled her eyes and said in a low voice, “we don’t know whether this younger Mr Gu stay to work or just stay for a while.”

“Do you have any idea about this Mr Gu?”

Her colleagues teased at the girl and said sarcastically, “Don’t you even think about it. He already has a lover and fiancée.”

“I didn’t say that I wanted to do something. It’s You who has the filthy thoughts.” The girl refuted her colleagues but she knew it clearly in her heart.

In this company, every woman had fantasy about the boss, both York and Tam. They were the dream men of the company.

Two girls talked in a low voice and followed after York to the top floor’s office. Then they found that they had missed their floors. So, they push the buttons again with embarrassed smiles.

York also found there were two girls following him. He knew that his return had already been exposed. But York could not care-less about that.

He did not inform anyone that he would come back today, even his brother Tam. But he did not intend to hide his return from anyone in the first place.

He just wanted to resume and catch up with his work today. He understood the company was under his control. So he did not need to hide anything from his staffs.

York directly came back to his office and put down his bag. Then he heard someone had opened the door.

“Yes?”

York looked back. He did not see anyone came in. He thought that the wind blew the door. Suddenly he heard the sound that files fell down on the floor.

“You come back.”

With the falling of the files, Nell showed up in front of York. She tried to cover her mouth as if what she saw wasn’t true.

“Yes.”

York was not flurried. He just slightly nodded and looked at the files on the floor and asked, “What are these files?”

“Oh.”

Nell was at a standstill and quickly came back to a professional condition. She picked up the files and handed them to York and explained, “These are the files about a previous project which Tam has asked me to arrange for him. So I hand in this morning.”
