    Lyla was not a lady.

She went crazy when she learned the truth.

Despite that she claimed she did not dislike William Yang, she actually cared about him very much. Maybe she did not even realize this herself. Often, she would imagine how it would feel if she and William successfully turned into a couple at midnight when the world fell into the silence. She even had imagined the life after they got married. She had thought they would live a happy life for the rest of their lives.

But now her world collapsed. Lyla trusted Veronica for many reasons. Veronica had a handsome and gentle fiance. Although this was the first time for her to see William, somehow she did not think Veronica was fooling her.

Women's gut feelings were terribly accurate. Lyla felt that William was hiding something from her. But she had never expected that he was a married man.

That was just totally unacceptable. How could he come and approach her when he had a wife and a son? Great! What a fabulous work!

Veronica shook her head and passed the bottle of the red wine to Lyla. "A glass would be too weak. Take this."

Putting the bottle behind her back, Lyla walked towards William with a smile. When she got closer to him, she stopped beside him. "Hey, William," she called.

"Yes?" William turned to look at her and responded, a smile resting on his face.

He was at his thirties. Being a mature man, he was quite attractive. His eyes were always calm but he did not look old at all. That was the special charm belonging to a mature man.

"Bang!" The bottle hit William on the head all of a sudden. William was totally stunned by the attack. His smile froze on his face as the blood gushed out from his head. The blood dripped down on the ground, drop by drop.

That was not the end of it.

Lyla kicked towards between his legs quickly. Her high heels stroke his important part accurately. Before William could do something, she slapped him on the face fiercely with all her strength. William was being hit so forcefully that he fell on the ground. Lyla's hands were trembling with anger. Crossing her arms against her chest, she looked down at William like an arrogant queen. "How dare you, a married man, try to approach me? I'll never forgive you for what you've done. Be ready to explain to your wife and son!"

She was going to tell his family about it.

William hurt so much because his most fragile part was attacked. He couldn't even hear what Lyla said clearly. He wanted to stand up and explain to her. But his brain would not allow him to do it. He could not even utter a word because of the great pain.

Lyla left decisively, leaving William lying on the ground, howling in pain.

Jasper, who was originally standing next to William, turned to look at Veronica, having no idea whether he should give a hand to William or not. Veronica waved at him with a bright smile on her face. "Hey, Harrison"

His smile froze. She was not calling his name. Jasper turned around and saw a man. He had seen him once in the Rou house.

He had a handsome face and a cold aura.

Harrison smiled helplessly. He took Cheryl and walked towards Veronica and Jasper. Stretching out his hand, he greeted with a gentle voice, "Hi. It's been a long time."

It's been a long time? Veronica did not think so. She also reached out her hand and shook hands with him. Her eyes found his. Jasper and Cheryl were standing beside them, awkward.

Fortunately, Jasper and Cheryl knew each other. They also had a handshake like what Veronica and Harrison did and began to exchange greetings.

"Hi, Jasper. It's been a long time."

"Nice to see you here, Cheryl."

William went to the hospital under the help of a waiter. Everyone just ignored him.

The four decided to have the meal on one table.

    This was actually very awkward.

To be more precise, only Jasper and Cheryl felt awkward.

Veronica and Jasper did not finish the steak they had ordered earlier. Two pieces of crescent steak in the middle of the white round plate came into Harrison's eyes. He smiled again. The feeling of excitement emerged in his heart.

"What a coincidence. We ordered the New Moon as well."

The smile on Veronica's face widened. "Wow! What a surprise."

Look! They knew each other so well. They even ordered the same dish.

A new moon indicated incompletion. A round steak was cut into pieces.

Jasper, do you understand? I chose this dish especially for you. This is my farewell gift for you, murmured Veronica silently in her heart.
