In the meeting room of the Hong Group.
"Just take a look at how things have developed in the past few years, guys! The real estate is an extremely promising field. I'm sure that the house price would keep soaring. The piece of land in the west of our province is an excellent one. There are mountains and rivers nearby. If we could buy that land to build villas, we are going to earn a huge amount of money."
The one who was babbling was no other than Mary. She was the aunt of the Harrison, the president of the Hong Group. What was more, she was the second-largest stakeholder of this group. After she was done convincing, some stakeholders could not help feeling agreeing with her.
Harrison was calm as usual. He clicked on the table with his fingers and asked, "Are you really so eager to buy that land? But you know what, we will have to pay all of our money to purchase that land and build the villas as you said. What if we couldn't earn money? What if there were a shortage of cash flow in the company?"
Mary stroked her beautiful nails which she had them polished in the morning. There were small diamonds on the nails. They were reflecting lights, shining. She smiled and looked at Harrison. "But we will eventually make profits. Just think about it, we are going to earn several hundred million. All the net income," she persuaded.
Several hundred million? Harrison did not think so. In the past life, Mary successfully bought that land to build houses. But the designer did terrible work. The villas did not have enough ancillary facilities. Worst of all, rumor had it that there were ghosts haunting that area because of the existent of mountains and waters. As a result, no one came to buy those houses. Even if they gave them away to the citizens, they would not accept the house.
Mary is doing me a favor if she insists on buying the land, thought Harrison. But he would not use his own money. He smiled and shook his head. "I don't think it's going to be a great deal. It's not worth it. But if you insist on buying it, I won't stop you. You can buy it using your own money, I mean, the shares you owned in the company."
Marry had twenty percent shares in the company. Buying that land and building the villas would cost at least two hundred million. But she only had forty million for now. What should she do? That was not enough at all.
Harrison sneered in his mind before he stood up, turned around, and walked away. Marry searched in her head, trying to find out a solution. Finally, she came up with an idea. She persuaded some stakeholders to make this investment. That was thirty percent shares of the company. Plus, she had twenty percent. That was fifty percent which was one hundred million. But there was still another one hundred million. What could she do? Finally, she decided to sell all her jewelry which she cherished very much to raise money.
Thinking about Harrison refusing her, she smiled coldly. "What a stupid businessman!" How could he be so stupid and refuse such a project which would surely bring out a huge amount of profits?

A black car parked along the road. Needless to say, it was Harrison's. There was a good smell inside the car. A song was playing.
The class was over. Veronica seemed to be in a good mood now. She hummed the song, a smile resting on her lips. Her cheeks dimpled as she smiled, which made her look sweet.
Harrison gazed at her and asked, "You look quite happy."
Veronica tilted her head to the left and tucked her hair beside her ears. She smiled. "Yes, sure. Crystal was late for class in the morning today. I didn't put in a good word for her. She would never earn enough credit for English class."
Harrison chuckled. Putting his hands on the steering wheel, he smiled at her. "I'm quite happy now too."
Veronica was a bit surprised at first. But soon she realized what might have happened. She squinted her eyes and asked, "Oh, why? Let me guess. Hmm, is the land in the west?"
Harrison blinked his eyes. Tenderness and love were shining in his eyes. He replied in a joyful tone, "Yes. They like it. I'll just leave them to do whatever they want. But once they take the money away from the company, the Hong Group will disappear in the world."
Veronica moved a bit and got closer to him. She gazed at his light blue eyes. She missed him and wanted to stay longer with him.
His beautiful eyes had accompanied her for thousands of night in their past life. Harrison would always look at her with this pair of gentle and worried eyes. Despite his burnt face, his eyes were always clear and pretty.
Nose putting against the nose, his breath met hers. This inanimate interaction had nothing to do sex. Both of them felt pleasant and safe in the car. Suddenly, the pitch of the song raised up sharply. Their hearts also beat with the rhythm.
Veronica reached out and stroke his face gently. His lashes were so long, she sighed in her heart. "It doesn't matter if the Hong Group disappeared. You will build another empire. I can help if you like."
"Yes, my lady, and thank you." Harrison held her hand and smiled gently. His eyes grew prettier when he smiled. "It is true that the real estate is a promising field. But from a long run, I would the information technology is the best. So I' prefer to register two companies, one for me a real estate company and another for you an IT company, both 100% holding. How do you like it?"
Veronica tucked her tongue out cutely and buried her face into his arms. Wrapping her arms around his waist, she hummed, "But I don't have money."
"Naughty girl!" Harrison touched her pretty nose. "How dare I ask my princess to pay for the company?"
