"Good morning, Jasper. Are you sending your girlfriend to the school again?" someone greeted.
Jasper pulled the door open. Veronica got off the car. He then turned to the girl who greeted him and smiled. "Yes, I am."
He was tender, gentle. He looked even more handsome when he smiled. Such an elegant and well-educated man. His eyes gleamed with affection. The girl blushed when Jasper looked at her. She walked closer to him and patted him on the shoulder intimately. "Come and talk with me after you are done sending her away. I need your help with my homework." She blinked at him cutely and seemed to totally ignore Veronica who was standing right next to Jasper.
Jasper pulled his body slightly away from her. "Sure," he replied with a nod.
Before the girl left, she smiled at Veronica. It was an aggressive, arrogant, and disdainful smile.
Veronica smiled back in the same way, arrogant and disdainful. The girl seemed to be stunned by her smile. She then turned around with a sneer on her lips.
How stupid I was in the past life, she thought. It would not be more obvious that Jasper cared for every female and she was just one of his many female friends. But she cherished him so much. She must be very blind in her past life so that she did not notice anything strange.
Need help with her homework? That was total nonsense.
That girl was a senior student. How could it be possible that she needed help from a junior student in homework? What a bad excuse!
Jasper put the book in Veronica's hands and said, "Here you are, the book." Before he left, he patted her on the head slightly and said in a soft tone, "Focus on the class. I'll come and pick you up when the class is over at noon."
Veronica smiled and shook her head. "You don't need to come. I have an appointment with others at noon."
Jasper stared at her. A breeze blew over and lifted a strand of her hair on her forehead. He reached out and tucked the hair behind her ear and asked in a seemingly casual tone, "What is it?"
The warmness on his hands was not as aggressive as Harrison's. Jasper's was like the breeze in the spring. It swept over the face and made people feel comfortable.
However, Veronica felt sick when he touched her. Her forehead felt sick, her ear felt sick, every skin where Jasper touched felt sick. But now, she couldn't do anything to refuse him, nor could she show her true feelings. She tried hard and suppressed the sickness hiding in her body and let out a chuckle. "With some girls, we are going to… Well, girl stuff and I'd better keep it a secret, you know." She tucked her tongue out in a cute way.
Truth be told, Jasper did not know much about the so-called girl stuff. However, he was polite and well-mannered. So he would never keep asking anymore.

Finally, Jasper turned around and walked away. Being gooseflesh all over and stroking the back of her hand, Veronica stared at his receding figure with cold eyes.
Karma existed. So here she was, for revenge, sooner or later.
Thinking about this, Veronica smiled with joy, yet her eyes remained cold. With the pink cute dress, she was showing a different kind of beauty. It was the beauty of Nemesis.
Jasper turned around to look at her. But he was too far away from her that he was unable to see her face or the expression clearly. All he saw was a vague smile, stunningly beautiful. His heart skipped a beat at the sight of her. Then he let out a smile at her too, his eyes flooding with love and affection.
It was this time when Veronica turned around and walked away. The moment she was back to him, the smile appeared, leaving only an expressionless face.

Veronica arrived at the classroom. She was in the second year of the university now. The class had not begun yet. So there was no professor in the room. All the students were chatting, laughing happily. There was nothing but noise in the room. But all the noise ceased the moment Veronica stepped inside.
No one spoke. All the students stared at her with meaningful eyes. There were aversion, sympathy, schadenfreude, disdain and jealousy in their eyes. Cassandra was a special student in her class.
All the students in this class achieved good grades. They were smart in their studies. However, Veronica did not do well in exams. She always earned the lowest grades in every subject. Her totally grade was even lower than the average grade of this class. The professors did not like her, her classmates pushed her aside. They all knew that she was able to be a member of this class because she was born into a rich family. Her parents were so powerful that none of the leaders in the university would dare to act against them.
Many people in the world hated the rich, and more people hated the offspring of the rich. They were born with everything in hand. Most ordinary people would be unable to become that rich even if they tried really hard. The rich generations would live a wealthy life. Even if they were stupid and could not do anything well, even if they were the black sheep of the society, they would still live at the top of the society and enjoy the endless recourses.
Veronica was an excellent example. She was made to be a member of the class where normally only extremely smart students were supposed to gather. It all thanks to her rich and prominent family.
Truth be told, Veronica did not like it. She was rather annoyed by this arrangement.
Her parents chose this class for her. Unfortunately, she was unable to transfer to another class. That would be abnormal and her parents would find her strange.
The bell rang and the class began.
The English teacher walked into the classroom with a thick textbook in her arms. Her high heels clicked on the floor, making clear sounds. She was a confident woman and always dressed in fashionable clothes. She had long, sharp, clever eyes. Her beauty was rather aggressive.
Her name was Lyla Bai. She was the only teacher who liked Veronica.
Lyla Bai took a glance all over the classroom and then began to call the roll.
Every student cherished their time, especially the time in the class. So they were rarely absent from school without leave. But today, there was an exception.
"Crystal, Crystal. Where is she?" Lyla Bai put down the attendance sheet. With her arms crossed against her chest, she asked and glanced at everyone.
All the student remained silent and turned their eyes towards Veronica.
Everybody knew that Crystal's parents worked as servants in the Rou family. Crystal also worked as a maid there too. They took it for granted that Veronica must know the reason why Crystal did not make it attend the class.
Lyla Bai also looked at her and asked in a soft tone, "Veronica, do you have any idea why Crystal is…"
Before Lyla could finish her words, Veronica cut her off. "Yes, I do. She usually sleeps late in the morning." That was the truth. Crystal was indeed reluctant to get up early in the morning.
Lyla Bai nodded and then continued with her teaching.
Veronica's explanation provoked many of her classmates.
When Lyla was giving a lecture on the podium, some students whispered and complained with low voices.
"Come on, Crystal was late for school because Veronica asked her to do it in the morning! That is the reason!"
"Well, even though it's true, we can't say anything to defend Crystal. Veronica's family is rich."
"How disgusting Miss Bai is. She is such an expert at currying the rich's favor!"
"Yes, totally agreed! Poor Crystal. She is going to lose her credits again."
"No need to worry about that. Veronica will ask help from Crystal sooner or later. She is bad at homework. We all know that. She will ask Miss Bai to return to credits to Crystal!"
"It's really difficult to understand how the brain of the rich works."

Crystal arrived in the middle of the class.
She had run as fast as she could. Now, she was panting heavily and her face turned pale because of the fierce running. She pressed one of her hands against her chest, breathing heavily. Guilt was written all over her face. She looked like such a mess as if she was the fragile flower swaying in the strong wind, poor and innocent. Standing at the door, she hung her head low in regret and said in a pitiful tone, "I'm sorry, Miss Bai. I was late."
Lyla Bai stared at her coldly and said, "Raise your head up and look at me."
Crystal did as what she said. Lyla looked straight into her eyes and stated, "I couldn't see any regret in your eyes. You are not feeling guilty of being late at all. Stay outside. You can skip my class from today now that you show no respect to me and my lecture."
Crystal's eyes widened in surprise. She shook her head violently and shouted, "No, Miss Bai. Please let me stay."
Lyla was totally pissed off now. She raised her handsome eyebrows. "Now get out of this room."
Crystal was helpless now. She turned her eyes to Veronica, expecting her to put in a good word for her as she had always done in the past. However, Veronica did not. She merely smiled back at Crystal, her head tilted. The smile was soft and warm. But somehow, Crystal felt chill spreading all over her face.
Their eye contact was seen by many people.
After the class was over, Lyla Bai asked Crystal and Veronica to go to her office.
"Stay outside for a few moments, Veronica," Lyla Bai said to Veronica.
Crystal lowered her head and followed Lyla and walked into the office. Veronica, on the other hand, leaned her back against the wall, her eyes locking on the red floor. She could hear the scream and noise from the playground outside.
She was unable to hear what they were talking about clearly. But she could make a smart guess.
Well, just some cliche. Crystal must be speaking ill of her.
Veronica took out her phone and turned on the APP. This App was connected to the camera she had secretly put somewhere. Veronica picked out the video which recorded the whole process of how Crystal was late this morning. A few minutes later, Crystal walked out.
Lyla stood behind Crystal. Obviously, she was getting impatient with Crystal as could be told from the annoyed expression on her face. She stretched out her hand and rubbed her forehead slightly before she waved at Veronica. "Come on in, Veronica." Veronica's eyes were as bright as the stars as she squeezed every single word.
Crystal turned her eyes at Veronica. She looked like so poor with such beautiful big eyes. Her lips moved slightly. It was more than obvious that she was asking Veronica to help her, despite the few meters between them.
When Veronica passed her, she whispered to her, "Don't worry. I will help you."
I will help you to get everything you want step by step, okay? You will be grateful for what I will do for you, thought Veronica, a secret sneer appearing on her face.
