Sean took a nap for more than twenty minutes before waking up. He didn't feel too bad except for William's violence in bed.

William was cooking. Sean stood quietly at the kitchen door, wondering how long it had been since he savoured such tranquil and warm days. William had a good figure with wide shoulders, narrow hips and long legs. He was immensely captivating when concentrating on cooking, half rolling up his shirt sleeves. The lightly furrowing thick eyebrows bore full masculinity.

William looked back at Sean and was slightly surprised: "Wake up?" Then he laughed without any impatience and rudeness like before: "You pick the perfect time. You wake up to eat?"

Sean responded softly and came over to tidy the dishes and chopsticks. He opened his mouth and tasted the dish William took to him when passing his side with great tacit understanding. "It's lite, but don't add salt. It's not good for health to eat too much salt." Sean was in a daze for a moment after his words, and then he felt somewhat ridiculous.

Sean was in a good humor at dinner. He tasted all dishes, and his eyes swelled with some vigor and smile. He tried a little of each dish and eulogized them one by one. But that little smile slowly turned into intense grievance which could not be disguised, but he still smiled with the dimple on the angular left cheek: "William Jiang, why don't you do it earlier?"

Maybe it was more like the words of a spoiled child than complaint, so William didn't think much about it. He just thought that maybe he really ignored him these days, serving him with some food: "Eat more. I'll spend more time with you after finishing this project."

Sean stopped. His eyes glanced over William's slender hands, asking suddenly: "Where's your ring?"

William was caught on the hop by his question and did not respond for a moment. He was immensely guilty. He just repeated the question unconsciously: "Where is it......"

William would never forget that ring. It was a birthday gift Sean gave to him nine years ago. He laboured over much extra work outside for that surprise, but he did not save up enough money by the end still. Then he just bought a pair of silver rings. They were too simple and almost crummy, with no any patterns on the frosted surface. After buying them, Sean took them everyday. Whenever he had free time during his working hours , he engraved the letters on them all by himself, which gave him even blisters on his hands. William was touched and distressed when he held the ring, deeming that it was the best thing in the world.

But how did he lose it? William was in a trance. He was drunk at the first time he had sex with Elton, and Elton intended it deliberately. That night William took him for Sean. Actually, Elton really resembled Sean when he was eighteen or nineteen years old. He also had black and soft hair, clear and innocent eyes. He would also call him Jiang in a tone like a pampered child when begging him. The ring was lost after that night. Elton said he didn't see it, so William thought it might drop at somewhere.

Losing the ring which he had worn for seven years embittered him for a period of time, but Sean had never found out about it. So he just forgot it after a long time. William had thought about customizing a pair of diamond rings for Sean, but Elton was too clingy and coquettish and he was too busy with work, so it fell through.

William did not know how to answer it as Sean asked it suddenly. Fortunately, Sean did not mean to embarrassh him. He drooped his eyelids, blowing on a spoonful of soup and drinking it: "It's all right. Just worthless stuff......"

"It's okay to lose it......" Just like you lost me. He didn't say the second half of the sentense. He was accustomed to grieving himself, and he could even control his eyes not to be red on occasions when they should not be red.

William choked, forcing a smile: "I must leave it somewhere. I won't lose it. Let's change another pair when we are free, alright? Even if we can't make it before our fifteenth anniversary, we can make it before the twentieth."

Sean smiled and said nothing. He put down his chopsticks to wash his hands. "Help yourself. I'll boil some water. Just call me if you need anything."

William frowned at his back. Everyone but Sean was spice in his mind, relieving his dull life. He assumed an air of enthusiasm to make merry and drag away the vacuous days. But why did Sean make him feel strange then?

He had been seeking excitement all the time, and he indeed surmised that he had fed up with Sean already. But it seemed that he was totally wrong at this time. Fatigue reigned in his mind suddenly.
