At half past six, York Gu’s secretary drove the car and waited at Nell Su’s dormitory. He made a call to Nell, “I am waiting at your home downstairs now. You can come anytime.”

“Okay”

Nell took her clutch and walked down the stairs.

The secretary stood by the car. He saw a woman in a black tube dress walking down the stairs. He did not recognize she was Nell Su until he saw her face. He thought, “Clothes make the person.”

The tube dress was casually picked by Nell in the shopping mall earlier. She bought that for dinner events like this. She also prepared a pair of high heels. Nell barely wore high heels before. So, she walked wobbly. The secretary held her arm and gently led her to the car.

Nell felt a bit embarrassed. She gave a smile and said, “That’s so kind of you. Not only picking me up, but also going the banquet with me tonight.”

“Not at all. I just do what I should do.”

The secretary opened the door for Nell. When Nell got in the car, he ran to his seat and started the engine.

On the way to the hotel, Nell and the secretary discussed about agendas and things to do in the meeting.

When the secretary was teaching her some basic social etiquette, his good impression on Nell grew.

He used to believe that Nell got promotion by flirting with men. So, he was disrespectful to her when he talked to Nell. But he found that Nell was extremely serious about her work. Most importantly, she did not intend to flirt with York.

For this reason, he had developed a good impression on Nell.

After all, York was born with a silver spoon and running a big companysecond.. Any girl would die for winning his heart.

Though York already had a fiancée, most people in the company thought that they do not match.

Carol Li indeed came from a decent and eminent family, but her behaviors and languages were rude. She had an ill-manner. When she was unhappy, she would go to the company and make troubles, making no one can do their jobs

Those who had worked for a long time around York would have bad impression on Carol Li.

As for Nell, the secretary did not think that York had feelings on her. York concerned only about work-related issues…

The secretary shook his head. He tried to squeezed these thoughts out of his head, and focus on driving Nell to the hotel.

“You get in first. I will park the car in the basement car park and then join you afterwards. Please keep an eye on your phone.”

The secretary ran to open the door for Nell. He lowered his head and talked to Nell. “When you enter the hotel, the waiter will show you the way. You don’t have to worry. Go to find your seat first and then have some casual talks with others. You will be fine.”

When Nell heard that the secretary would not get in the hotel with her, she was a bit worried. After all this was her first time to go to this kind of places. She had no idea about what should and should not do.

However, she did not want to be such a loser.

Everyone got his first time to do something. She might not do that perfect. But practice makes perfect.

Nell knew this well. So, she always bared this attitude in daily work. She did not mind working more and spending more time on each job.

When Nell left the car, she slowly walked to the front gate of the banquet hall. The waitress asked for her company and her names. Then led her to her seat accordingly. Her table was on the left side of the hall.

There were few people in this table. Only two people, a lady and a gentleman, sat on the opposite of Nell. They both dressed in luxurious coutures. Nell did not know them. She greeted them with a polite smile and a wave..

The gentleman suddenly stood up and walked towards Nell. He politely took out his right hand and wanted to shake hands with Nell. “You must be the famous Nell. I have heard your name for a long time. I am the representative of the supplying subsidiary of family Li. You may call me Felton Sue.”

“Nice to meeting you. I am Nell Su.”

Nell did not want to get closed with him.. Hence, she smiled back and introduced herself to Felton. She shook hands with him and went back to her seat.

But the man did not want to give up easily. He moved to the seat next to Nell and said in an amazed tone, “I have just realized that we share the same first name!”

Nell thought, “You have just said that you have known my name for a long time already. You can tell my tell at once when I got here. Whydo you bother to act to be so surprised?”

Not showing what she was thinking, Nell wore her fake smile and said, “ Oh right, what a coincidence…”

She kept looking at the entrance of the hall, hoping the secretary could come and help her as soon as possible.

She was indeed not good at mingling with these kinds of people.

When she was looking around, she saw a familiar figure walking in.

Finally the secretary arrived. Seeing his coming, Nell stood up at one and turned to Felton Sue who wanted to talk to her and said politely, “I saw my friend’s coming. Please let me lead him here, excuse me.”

Felton Sue let her leave the conversation . He undersootd that Nell would return to their table when the banquet started , it would not make any good if he push her too hard.

Nell ran to the secretary anxiously and held his arm, whispered in his ear, “I can’t stay in such occasion alone. You need to stay by my side and help me…”
