"Get out!"
Adalwolf’s face fell, and raged at it.
The green-faced monster guard then found that he had been too carried away by the cooked meat, that he’d acted so inappropriately talkative before the king, and now only did he feel lucky that shimmering sword in the king’s hand did not end up in his heart.
He ran out hurriedly like hell.
The sword in Adalwolf’s hand was darted directly into the ground, with only the tilt left above the ground and the whole blade deep into the mirror-like tiles; the ground cracked open and little pieces of rocks bounced up as he left.
Soon Adalwolf arrived at the palace she was in, and saw thick smoke in the vast yard afar. The little monster servants surrounded it, and among them the red headed was the easiest to tell.
Herald Grant!
The vain on Adalwolf’s head popped, and saw he and the woman were standing close together, one fanning the fire and the other in charge of the grill, talking and laughing, and looked so very happy.
The flames of his fury burned suddenly even higher than the bonfire, and without any thinking, he appeared directly before them.
Aster had now developed an instinct of detecting him as a danger like a radar, and she could feel it in the deepest when he appeared.
At the moment, her hands holding the skewers shivered, she lift her head and really saw that gloomy face loomed before, cold cruel eyes glared at her.
How afraid she was!
"Your majesty!"
The crowd found out and all turned to kowtowed at him at once, even Herald Grant knelt on one knee and bowed down.
She squatted at where she was still at a loss, and had no idea about the greetings. She just looked at him blankly, overwhelmed by fear, and she did not know why but she held out one skewer from far beyond his reach with well cooked beef to him intimidatedly.
"Would you like some meat? it is delicious, care for a bite?"
And the next second she saw his thick eyebrow shuddered, and he seemed more angry.
Aster retracted her trembling hands, "you don’t like it... then... never mind..."
Then she was out of her wits; she squatted there, skewers in her hands, shoulders curled, and did dare to see him again. She stared at the dying flame and magically, some bizarre idea came to her.
She did not know why she suddenly had this idea popping up in her mind.
He was satisfied with her, in a sexually way, and did not kill her, so she should play up to him.
And get him to like her.
And try to let him enjoy a platonic love! Right! Not sexual!
When this idea came into form, Aster had no idea of from where she’d gotten the courage, that she sprang up and trotted merrily towards him. She calmed herself before him and fanned out about a dozen of skewers in her hands, grinned and forced on the most believable and brilliant smile, and said with exceptional generosity, "have a look, in my hands from left to right, they are well done, medium well, medium, medium rare, rare, and raw, though I highly recommend you the medium well one, it has the cooked fragrance, yet keeps the fresh and tender texture. Come you majesty, I have cooked specially for you!"
Of course not!
This was the time for nonsense!
Herald heard Aster’s speech and his eyes were sparkled with admiration. He secretly lift his head and saw his king’s face became even darker with twitched lips.
He felt extremely disappointed. How could he lack the sense of romance so?
Shouldn’t this be the time for fun? Why the face of constipation?
Not surprisingly, Adalwolf rejected with his strong hand; not only were the skewers scattered on the ground, but Aster was also flung on the grass. The pain made her dizzy and gasped, and she pulled herself to feet.
Desperation and exasperation took her. How could this man be so hard to please?
You can say no thanks, why do you have to be violent?
Hitting a woman?
Aster felt disheartened at the thought of it, and the next second tears swelled in his eyes, and started to feel sorry for her life.
She mourned the circumstances of these days as he lift her head to see him; with her watery eyes she saw him disappeared out of sight like shoo.
Then Herald rose and ran over, inquiring, "tell me, are you okay? Did you get hurt? Are you crying?! Are you as fragile that at one wave of his hand you got crushed and die? Don’t die! You can’t die!"
Aster wiped her tears with one hand, "you call that waving hand? I was flung into the sky!"
Herald nodded attentively, "I know what the king have done is not suitable for a man, hitting a woman! However, girl, he had used the least strength than any time ever before!"
Aster got scared and stopped crying.
Seeing the spoiled skewers, she complained, "then how could I date him in future and get him to like me? It’s too difficult!"
You can’t get near him, then how do you attract him? And please him?
Herald sighed along with her, and comforted, "you have already been with him. He said he wouldn’t kill you if he was satisfied, and look at you now all alive, at lease he won’t kill you for the moment. So you are safe for now, but if you want to be safe for the rest of your life..." he frowned, and picked up the well-done meat and started to eat after he’d blown off the dir from it. He suggested as he was eating, "maybe... you should use the most direct way? Say getting pregnant! I believe the king won’t be so bloody and cruel to kill his own unborn child!"
Aster blinked hard at him and shook her head.
"That’s not possible! I would be dead in bed on the spot!" She was struggling between life and death, and anything that was close to the bone in the throat was no bone anymore.
If she really became pregnant, what the baby was going to look like, a wolf pup?
That was beyond her imagination!
She couldn’t accept it!
"Heww..."sighed Herald when he finished a skewer of beef in one second and saw the pretty girl’s face became pale every time it was brought up.
It seemed the king had left her serious trauma!
It didn’t matter the king was cruel in other respects, but how could he be such a beast in bed?!
Look at this girl, she is frightened like a bird. Maybe she wouldn’t enjoy it for the rest of her life.
"Then don’t rush or anything, let me think of something else to break him down!"
