The next morning, Chloe sensed something was wrong at once when she walked into the office. Everyone was kind of looking at her differently, with strange and peculiar admiration.

"Oh, morning everyone!" Chloe greeted with a forced smile. She kind of trotted back to her desk and seated herself, her eyes once in a while raised to meet all these odd-looking eyes around.

"Chloe, you are still unpacked?" Lucy came up with a carton in her arms filled with stuff, a cup, a Teddy bear and other sundries.

"..." Chloe felt like thunderstruck, "the president is letting the both of us go?"

"Let us go? Do you mean fire us?" Lucy didn’t come to realize the let go part.

"Would you rather like me to fire you?" It was Christoper’s voice. Chloe turned back and met his eyes. She lowered her head at once because of his powerful aura of authority.

"No... that’s not true! I just... I just thought that you must be mad at me for what had happened yesterday so you are going to fire me!" Chloe spoke her mind very frankly, which caused some whispering and muttering among the crowd.

"Oh, yesterday? What has happened yesterday? Should that mean to be such a big deal? That I should fire you to venting my anger?" Christopher came one step closer. He watched at Chloe who was scared by him and nearly started to tremble and found it very amusing, but he appeared serious and respectable.

"Nothing... nothing’s happened!" Men are as hard to understand as woman, Chloe suddenly came to this realization at this moment.

"Now move your stuff to where Lucy has been," Christopher gave the order, "you two are still in your original positions, only that I have made some adjustments to your work contents. If you too make the mistake of making excuses to ask somebody else to do your work, it won’t be as simple a matter as changing seats." Christopher walked beside Chloe, leaned over and whispered into her ears, "behave yourself, be a good girl."

Chloe stood upright, her soul seemed to have been scared out of form after hearing his words.

"Are you alright?" After Christopher had left, Lucy stared at stunned Chloe and waved her palm before her eyes, then she couldn’t help but pinch her tender cheek.

"Oh, yes, I’m fine." This is so strange! Anyone tell me what is happening right now? Why should I move my seat to outside the president’s office? I’m just a grassroots employee! And moving there alone!

"Chloe, I feel so bad, this is my fault, but since Mr. Cleveland has made the decision, I think you should hurry up!" Lucy comforted her with slight joy in her complexion, which hurt Chloe so much.

Lucy offered to help move her stuff to the top floor in a mood of celebration. Chloe found it suffocating. Can she be more obvious about this? Is sending her to the tiger’s den so exciting? And humming What A Wonderful World?!

Everyone in the office was eyeing her their sympathy but no one in the deepest of their heart really wanted to help her out of it.

When everything was already moved upstairs, the crowd watched Chloe walk into the elevator. Lucy watched her go and found it very epic. Emotionally she felt sorry for her and in action she showed great support and encouragement.

"Hi Lucy, you are the assistant to the president, yet banished to here in a large integrated office from your own one beside the president’s, can you get used to it?" the group leader Lowell showed her his sympathy, he found she was such a pretty girl, curvy body and charming eyes.

"I’ll get used to it! I’m just lucky that the president didn’t fire me!" Lucy considered it to be most fortunate that she still kept her job, then she sat down and started her work of the day.

Chloe walked before her new desk, arranged her stuff and sat before her computer. She was still in charge of her original work, but in such a quite place, which Chloe thought nice. It would be nicer if it were not at the door of the president’s!

A while later the phone next to her rang suddenly, and Chloe almost sprang up from her seat, frightened. While Christopher sat in his office, watched her on the monitor screen and burst into laughter. Could this girl be more stupid.

"Hello, Mr. Cleveland’s office." Chloe was nervous and carefully picked up the phone. She was bad at communications and that was why she had chosen a job which needed her to speak as less as possible. She just couldn’t figure it out why she had ended up in this place.

"I need a cup of coffee, no sugar." It was the usual cold voice, so negligence was the least she wanted to show him.

    "Yes, sure!"

Christopher hang up the phone and continued burying herself into work and signed a newly finalized contract.
