Qin Youan lived in a row house, which was quite far from the small apartment that Shen Suyun originally rented, but it was quite close to his own home.
The decoration is very simple, with the main color scheme being white, gray, and dark blue, which matches Qin Youan's temperament very well. As you enter the foyer, there is a large hall, with a huge crystal chandelier in the center of the ceiling. Below it is a white combination sofa, surrounded by a square European-style coffee table with a light blue geometric patterned carpet underneath. Behind the sofa, there is a row of off-white cabinets, on top of which are many delicate ornaments of the same color. There are also two large narrow-mouthed white porcelain vases with holly branches inserted in them. Behind the cabinets is a row of wine cabinets, filled with various different wines at a glance. On the left hand side of the hall, behind the cabinets, is the dining room, which features a Western-style round table, and beyond the dining room is the staircase.
The entire hall gives off a sense of simplicity and refinement, yet it feels somewhat cold. Only the two beams of wintergreen and the apricot yellow ceramic tiles on the floor emit a warm feeling.
Shen Suyun stood still for a moment, looking at Qin Youan who had entered with a suitcase. She turned her head and asked, "Are you living here alone?"
Qin You'an nodded slightly, raising an eyebrow. "Is there a problem?"
Of course there's a problem. Living alone in such a big house, isn't it too quiet and lonely?
Qin You'an seemed to see through his thoughts, staring at him with intense eyes, saying, "From now on, it will be you and me."
Shen Suyun didn't overthink it, she smiled and said, "So if I come, it won't be a disturbance, but rather adding some liveliness to your house."
Qin You, with an expression fixed and steady, looked at him for a few seconds but did not smile. He merely lowered his eyelids and made a soft "Hmm" before saying, "I'll take you to your room."
"Sure."
The two of them went upstairs. The second floor was also a very large space. The master bedroom was in the middle, with a study next to it. On either side of the staircase were two guest rooms. The guest room on the west side was a bit smaller, supposedly meant to be a children's room in the future. It hadn't been decorated yet. The guest room on the east side was slightly larger, with its own bathroom. The interior was well-furnished, with tidy beds. Just by changing the beddings, it could be lived in.
According to Qin You'an, his cousin Qin Xian often stays here overnight, so the housekeeping staff also cleans this place when they clean the house.
Qin You'an helped him put down the suitcase, saying, "I still need to return to the company. Please make yourself at home. The aunt will come to cook lunch, just let her know what you like to eat."
"Okay..." Shen Suyun wanted to say some polite words, but thinking about the "reminder" that Qin Youan had just given her at her own home, she swallowed them back and only said, "Be careful on your way."
Qin You'an noticed the change in his expression and seemed quite satisfied. He nodded and said, "Hmm," then added, "I'll talk about the rest when I come back."
"What else is there left to do?"
Shen Suyun looked at him in confusion, but he had already turned and walked away.
The tall and slender figure in a well-tailored suit gradually receded in this exquisitely decorated house, exuding an air of elegance, refinement, and extraordinary nobility, truly captivating the imagination.
Shen Suyun tidied up her luggage a little and then took a stroll around the house. The house was quite spacious, and she liked many of the designs.
But what attracted him the most was the neat arrangement of photos hanging on the staircase wall from the first floor to the second floor, clearly displaying a series of pictures from Qin You'an's childhood to adulthood.
And then, it was discovered that Qin You'an had truly been handsome and cool since childhood.
This photo was probably taken during kindergarten. The other children were lined up with a beautiful female teacher, but he sat next to the piano with a cold expression on his face, looking at the camera with an arrogant attitude. This photo was probably taken during middle school, in the auditorium, probably during a graduation ceremony. There were two adults next to him, whom he had seen before - Qin Youan's parents. Both of Qin's parents had smiles on their faces, and he stood in the middle, holding flowers, with a cold, indifferent face that seemed to say, "You adults are such a hassle." There is also this family photo, with Qin Youan standing in the center. There is still a youthful innocence on his face, probably taken when he was in his early twenties. Everyone else in the photo is happy, but he stands straight with his hands in his suit pants pockets, with a serious and solemn expression...
Hey, nearly every single expression is the same, not a single one is smiling. It's truly a pompous king.
Oh, wait, there is one with a smile — when she was a baby, probably around six or seven months old, wearing an adorable green dinosaur outfit, sitting on the bed, and smiling brightly at the camera.
Shen Suyun took out her cellphone and took a picture of this one and only smiling photo, keeping it as a memento.
I wonder what expression Mr. Qin will have on his cold and self-satisfied face when he finds out.
Shen Suyun thought again, "Later, when Qin You'an comes back, it'll just be the two of them in the same room at night... I wonder what kind of situation it will be?"
