Xiao Jue stared at the motionless screen of his cellphone, his heart sinking to the bottom of the valley. Zhan An and Jiang Yan stopped talking and sat quietly beside him, watching him in confusion, not understanding why he suddenly became silent.

Just now, I was perfectly fine!

"Jue Ge, what's wrong? Did something happen to you?" After a while, unable to bear his confusion any longer, Zhan An casually asked.

At first, Xiaojue was absorbed looking at his phone screen and didn't hear what he said at all. It wasn't until Zhan An tugged at his sleeve twice that he snapped out of it and bleakly responded, "N-No... It's nothing."

Zhan An sighed and exchanged a glance with Jiang Yan. Afterward, they didn't say anything. The two of them stayed at his house for a while and didn't plan to leave until almost ten o'clock.

As they reached the doorway, Zhan An suddenly remembered something and immediately turned his head to ask, "Oh, by the way, Jue Ge, Jiang Yan and I will have a day off tomorrow afternoon. Do you want to play games together?"

Xiao Jue originally didn't want to agree, but upon second thought, Leng Yu was not around. Instead of sulking alone at home, it was better to go out and have fun with them. Besides, this time no one would interrupt and call him away halfway through!

"Okay, you guys settle on a time and give me a call." Xiao Jue nodded in agreement and got up to see them off at the door.

At this moment, Jiang Yan suddenly turned around and scrutinized him from head to toe. Then, she frowned and said, "Ah Jue, I feel like your complexion hasn't been good lately. Take a break and rest more." After speaking, she pushed Zhan An away and walked off.

Xiao Jue stood at the door in a daze, repeating his words to himself, trying to decipher their meaning. It took him quite a while to realize that the reason for his pale complexion was due to accompanying Ling Yu during her sensitive period a couple of days ago.

In the instant after understanding dawned on him, Xiao Jue's face flushed red, revealing extreme embarrassment. Fortunately, there was no one else witnessing his current state, otherwise he would have felt ashamed and even humiliated.

However, just as he was starting to feel relieved and ready to relax, he suddenly turned around and saw Xiao Qing with her arms crossed, leaning against the wall, staring at him with a displeased expression on her face.

Seeing this, Xiao Jue's entire body froze in place, not moving for a good while. Fucking hell, how did this kid get out??? He couldn't quite figure it out!

Just now, when Zhan An and Jiang Yan knocked on the door, he didn't respond. But now that they've left, he has come out!

"Why aren't you sleeping so late? What are you aimlessly wandering around for?" Seemingly at a loss for other words, Xiao Jue's face was rigid as he pretended to be calm and reproached. After speaking, he coughed dryly while covering his mouth.

"Why are you wandering around too?" Xiao Qing stretched lazily, resting his hands behind his head, and countered unhappily. After a while, he glanced at him and asked, "By the way... what did those two classmates of yours come here for?"

"Come see me," Xiao Jue said in a deep voice, his face gradually returning to calm.

"Just with your stinky temper, who would want to come and visit you! Xiao Qing pouted in silence, thinking to herself, but not daring to say it out loud. She only nodded thoughtfully and returned to her room."

After he left, Xiao Jue quickly grabbed his phone and hurried back to his room to check the messages. However, it was distressing to see that even after such a long time, there was still nothing on the WeChat chat interface, and Leng Yu had not replied to his messages.

Xiao Jue sighed deeply, his gaze immediately turning gloomy. He thought he had made a mistake and, with his head hanging low, he leaned against the headboard, fretting over how to apologize and make amends for his recent blunder.

But not long after, Leng Yu suddenly made a phone call. He was somewhat surprised, but before he could laugh out loud, he instinctively answered the call without thinking.

"I'm sorry, Senior. I just had a little something going on..." Xiao Jue blurted out with an urgent apology, leaving Luo Yi bewildered for a moment, unable to grasp what he was saying.

"It's alright. I just wanted to ask if there's anything you want, coincidentally I'm going on a business trip, so I can bring it back for you," Leng Yi had no idea why he was apologizing in the first place, but he didn't intend to inquire further. After a moment of contemplation, he slowly began to speak.

Xiao Jue never expected that he would be asked these questions. For a moment, he was both shocked and delighted, as if he had just heard some great news. However, after thinking for a long time, he still didn't know what he wanted. So, he cautiously replied, "Anything is fine, as long as it's something you give me, I want it."

"...Alright then, get some rest. I'll be back in a few days," Leng Yu said before hanging up the phone without any hesitation. Meanwhile, Xiao Jue, on the other hand, was immersed in the rare tenderness of his words for quite some time before gradually coming back to his senses.

Sometimes, even he himself couldn't figure out what he truly wanted to gain from Leng Yu. Is it affection? Care? Or the so-called physical intimacy?

But if you think about it carefully, they've been in a relationship with Leng Yi for over a year, and so far, all they've gotten from him is just their body.

With a bitter smile, Xiao Jue placed his cell phone on the bedside table and laid down contentedly. Even if only his body remained, it still meant that he had not gained nothing.
