"Eh, where is everyone? The captain's location marking was correct here..." Only Perle's loud shouting voice could be heard, echoing from afar.

    "I am here."

Pearl saw him subduing a tall silver-haired man, and happily jogged over to administer a shot to the struggling man with a syringe.

Feeling the liquid slowly being injected into his veins, Kylo glared at him angrily, unwillingly slowly closing his eyes, and falling into a deep coma.

"Captain, why are you bleeding so much? Are you injured?!" Perl exclaimed in shock, struggling to take Kailuo from Ou Yue's hand, and tossed him to the other team members.

Ou Yue nodded and furrowed her brows. "It seems like this intoxicating potion doesn't work on him..."

Eu Yue recounted what had just happened to Powell. As Powell bandaged the wound on Eu Yue's waist, he listened attentively, his face filled with astonishment and doubt.

"This is impossible! This dosage, even if it were administered to a big elephant, would surely make it dizzy for two whole hours," Pearl pouted unhappily, "You can doubt me, but you must never insult my experimental achievements!"

"Alright," Ou Yue could never quite muster the commanding presence that a captain should have in front of this young man, "I hope he doesn't wake up halfway through."

The person who followed tightly bound Kylo and saluted Ouyue, saying in unison, "Hello, Captain."

Ou Yue nodded at them and instructed them to guard Kailuo closely, allowing them to return to the palace first to report back.

When Perle saw that everyone had left, he leaned close to Youyue's ear sneakily and said, "It seems like Wang's mood isn't too good today. Be careful when reporting to the captain, don't touch the tiger's whiskers."

    Ou Yue smiled, "I understand."

"Wow, you can still manage to smile! Look at your hand, it hurts just to look at it," Pearl exclaimed, contorting her face and shouting, "The wound is stuck to the lamb wool lining inside the glove... We need to go back quickly, we can't handle this here."

So the two of them caught up with the team that had escorted Kylo earlier, and returned to the palace together.

It was late at night, and snowflakes began to fall from the sky.

On the way here just now, Kailuo didn't wake up again. He remained unconscious and obediently made it to the palace. After being locked up in a certain hall, a doctor was called to examine and treat him, and someone was sent to guard him.

Ou Yue didn't even have time to tend to the wound on her right hand. Under Pearl's angry and worried gaze, she entered Wang's palace.

    The memories end here.

Randall looked at the clearly distracted Eu Yue in front of him, showing a subtle expression of displeasure.

"You're injured, but just a wandering swordsman, can't you still handle it?" Randall's eyes were deep and heavy, "You've become weaker, Ouyue."

Ou Yue's body trembled when she heard the deep voice of the man, instantly snapping back to her senses.

"Wang," Ou Yue lowered her gaze, "next time I will complete the mission even better."

Randall remained noncommittal as he looked at his still bleeding hand, suddenly finding it very irritating. Impatiently, he ordered, "Since you're injured, take a leave."

Randall's cold indifference hurt Eu Yue a little, he didn't even spare a glance at himself.

Ou Yue made a concerted effort to maintain a normal expression, doing her best to not reveal a trace of disappointment.

He always followed this man without hesitation, from the first wet dream at the age of seventeen, where he was the protagonist, to now, where he has become the king of the underworld, and he has become the captain of the assassins under his command. It seems that this man has never regarded him highly, no matter how hard he tries, it seems as if everything is effortlessly accomplished by this man.

From being a mere follower eight years ago to now calling himself a captain, it's truly surprising that he hasn't made any progress at all.

Sometimes, he even felt a bit envious of those Omegas. They could at least touch his body, his slender and powerful fingers, his well-defined abdominal muscles...while he could only imagine the person he had desired for so many years in his mind, in his dreams.

The confession of youth seemed to have been forgotten in the long passage of time, and the two never mentioned it again in the years that followed.

Ouyue's mind was filled with jumbled memories. His face looked pale and troubled due to the bloodshed and battles. He quickly agreed to take a break and left Randall's room.

The hurried departure made Randall, who had been watching him leave, darken his expression further.
