    Fool Around Together

Chapter 9: Rogue Needs to be Dealt with Like a Rogue

    Story: Fool Around Together Author:yuli words:17846 Update time:2023-07-03 05:06:27

The world is so small that Lin Jinglei bumped into Yan Zizheng several times in one day. Yet, the world is so vast that even though he has a close relationship with Tang Shan, he has never come face to face with these few small hooligans.

Regardless of whether the world is big or small, Lin Jinglei does not want to get involved in this mess, nor does he want Tang Shan to participate.

But he knew that it was unlikely. Tang Shan liked the girl named Shen Ling, who worked as a waitress in a small bar. He wasn't unaware of it. What surprised him was that Yan Zizheng actually had an affair with Shen Ling too. The situation was getting more and more interesting.

The most interesting thing was to stand by and watch the ongoing fight over there. Yan Zizheng was outnumbered six to one, but it seemed like he was not at a disadvantage. He used the bicycle skillfully, dodging and blocking many punches and kicks. Lin Jinglei plucked a yellowing willow leaf and held it in his mouth, watching the scene with great interest.

Beside him, Tang Shan became anxious: "No, you can't keep destroying it."

Lin Jinglei stared at the figure in front of him, who was constantly kicking and pedaling the bicycle with his feet. A smirk appeared at the corner of his mouth: "It's fine, that kid won't be trampled on for the time being."

"I mean, what should we do if we accidentally hurt Shen Ling?"

Lin Jinglei's outstretched hand grasped at thin air as he watched Tang Shan throw down the guitar case and run over. He spat out a leaf and muttered, "Damn it!"

Sure, here's the translation of the paragraph:

"Indeed, those young men immediately mistook Tang Shan as Yan Zizheng's reinforcement. Without saying a word, they attacked him. Tang Shan was caught off guard and completely defenseless, unable to fight back."

Lin Jinglei quickly ran to the small grocery store across the street, picked up two well-split firewood sticks, and sprinted over.

When he approached, he first pulled Tang Shan up, and then, without knowing what happened to his head, he didn't give the wooden stick to Tang Shan, but directly threw it to Yan Zizheng.

He swiftly dodged to the side, his leg getting kicked. His body tilted, but once he regained balance, he became completely enraged.

A chaotic mess, completely out of order.

The group of young men gradually gained the upper hand in the two against one fight, showing no mercy and striking fiercely. Shen Ling watched in horror as she saw blood on the ground, not knowing whose it was, and she started crying in fear.

The noise grew louder and louder. The old man from the small shop ran out trying to stop it, but to no avail. A passing auntie, holding a child, shouted loudly, saying that if they didn't stop soon, she would call the police.

Calling the police is more effective than anything else. Zang Tianping immediately ordered his men to stop and retreat.

Tang Shan's head seemed to be broken, with a small trickle of blood running down from his temple through his hair. While holding his head, he went to pull down and squat next to Shen Ling, who was crying there.

Yan Zizheng had bruised corners of his mouth, and his elbows and calves were aching. Leaning against the wall, he gasped for breath and turned his head to look at Lin Jinglai who was trying to get up from the ground.

He threw away the wooden stick in his hand, took a step forward, bent down, and placed one hand on his knee, while handing the other hand to Lin Jinglei.

Lin Jinglei didn't even lift his head, thinking it was Tang Shan who had helped him up: "Did you get hurt anywhere..."

After scrutinizing the person, he abruptly pulled back his hand, his tone changing from concern to disdain: "I'm not helping you."

    Yan Zizheng nodded, "I understand."

"That's good," Lin Jinglei leisurely shook his neck, "so as not to confuse the enemy and us."

Yan Zizheng remained silent, then turned his head and saw a black sedan drive past. Sitting in the passenger seat was his younger sister. It seemed that You Zhaoyu was afraid he would go looking for her, so he made sure to promptly send her back.

Yao Zhaoyu turned back after seeing Yan Zizheng's bicycle on the roadside and took a closer look into the alley, his face filled with astonishment: "What's going on here? Holy cow."

Yan Ziqing burst into tears upon seeing her brother's bleeding arm. She sobbed uncontrollably, leaning against the car window, her tears resembling a broken string of pearls.

After parking the car, Zhaoyu got out, furrowing his eyebrows. He assumed that it was Yan Zizheng who had been beaten up by those two kids inside, so he rushed towards them without hesitation.

Yan Zizheng brought the person back and rubbed his nose with the back of his hand. "It's not them, it's a few people from society."

Lin Jinglei suspected that his left leg was close to breaking. His reflexes were particularly sluggish. He stood there and asked Tang Shan, "Are we still going to perform? There's only twenty minutes left."

Tang Shan helped Shen Ling up and said, "Let's go. I've already talked to Da Qi about it."

"There's no need to go anywhere," Lin Jinglei grumbled, "If you have the capability, then you can fly there yourself."

What the hell is this? It all started because of one girl. Lin Jinglei glanced at Shen Ling who was standing there, and he really couldn't be bothered with such a girl in his heart. He also didn't know what Tang Shan saw in her. If it weren't for seeing her being trapped here, why would they get involved?

"Hey! You two," Qīng asked, then Zhàoyǔ raised his hand to signal, "Get in the car."

What kind of car should I take? Lin Jinglei stood there, completely clueless.

Yu Zhaoyu, who sat in the driver's seat, chuckled and said, "If you're afraid, you don't have to follow along."

At this moment, it was impossible for Tang Shan to back down. Lin Jinglei walked to the side of the car and turned around to look at Tang Shan, saying, "Let's go."

Tang Shan hesitated, "What should we do about Shen Ling?"

"Damn it," Lin Jinglei said helplessly, "She has arms and legs, she can go home on her own. Why are you worried about what she might do?"

Yan Zizheng, who opened the passenger door, carried his sister out and looked at Shen Ling, saying, "Can you help me send my sister home? We're not far away, and she knows the way."

Shen Ling knew that it was her desperate plea for help that led to involving Yan Zizheng in the whole matter. Feeling guilty, she dared not meet his gaze and nodded before taking Yan Ziqing's hand.

Yan Zizheng crouched down and wiped away his sister's tears with his thumb, discussing, "This big sister will send you home, and once you're home, I'll have Liangli sister give you a call."

Watching Yan Ziqing follow Shen Ling with a small backpack on her back, Yan Zizheng put his bicycle into the trunk and sat in the passenger seat.

Lin Jinglei massaged his leg, a smile that was not quite a smile on his face. It was truly bizarre; he was actually sitting in the same car as his arch-nemesis, both carrying the same objective.

The car hadn't driven far when it spotted the figures that had just run away emerging from an alley up ahead.

Yan Zizheng took the initiative and said, "There."

Yu Zhaoyu squinted his eyes and looked over. He said, "Weren't we supposed to have six? How come we're missing two?"

After careful recognition, Lin Jinglei cursed, "Damn it, Zang Tianping and that guy in the floral shirt are not here."

"Just deal with this wave first," Yu Zhaoyu immediately said, "everyone get off the car, I will handle it myself."

Seeing that no one was moving, You Zhaoyu impatiently shouted, "Can't you hear me? I told all of you to get out of the car, hurry up!"

Yan Zizheng got out of the car first, followed by Tang Shan, and finally Lin Jinglei.

The three people stood by the roadside, watching as the taillights of the two cars moved farther away.

Yu Zhaoyu continuously honked his horn and overtook other cars recklessly, narrowly avoiding several close encounters. It wasn't until he closely followed behind the four laughing individuals that he finally stabilized his speed.

The group of young people who were laughing didn't pay much attention to the passing vehicles, thinking they were just passing by. It was already starting to get dark, and the bright headlights of the cars made it hard for them to keep their eyes open, but it also conveniently caught the attention of the people inside the cars.

Yu Zhaoyu shook the car window and said, "It's really embarrassing to bully others and then run away."

A person stood in front of the car and shouted, "Who the hell are you?!"

From a distance, as he watched the car start to take a loop and turn around, Yan Zizheng immediately sprinted: "Something's going to happen."

    "Ah?" Lin Jinglei was bewildered.

It's too late. Across the street, I watched as the person standing in front of the car was directly hit and thrown out.

This is why Yan Zizheng, who was driving at the time, stopped Yu Zhaoyu from scaring Lin Jinglei. He knew this little punk was a real hooligan.

He ran up to the front of the car, which had already stopped but was still in the ignition state. He quickly glanced at the bloodless front of the car and frowned as he looked at the person inside: "What were you being impulsive for?"

The person who was hit flew back more than two meters and lay on the ground. The other three people who surrounded him went over to check.

The muffled bang sounded like a heavy collision. They suspected that this brat had pressed the brake and accelerator pedals wrongly, but it didn't seem like it. There was no fear of making a mistake on the young boy's face, only satisfaction of having succeeded.

"Hey, Mizi," someone was patting the face of the person on the ground, "Mizi?"

Mizi had a pair of unusually small eyes. Yan Zizheng stood there and couldn't tell whether they were closed or open, even with the help of the bright car lights.

Zhaoyu stuck his head out of the car window, a smirk forming at the corner of his mouth as he chuckled and said, "Since we can't move, let's all get out of the way. I'll just drive through and teach him a lesson."

"Yu Zhaoyu!" Yan Zizheng rebuked, "You're fucking crazy."

Zhao Yu looked at Yan Zizheng and said, "You don't know, this guy is just playing dead. I didn't even hit him. You step back and leave it to me."

Yang Zizheng stepped back and stood by the side of the road. Out of the corner of his eye, he caught a figure swiftly approaching. He turned his head and saw Lin Jinglei abruptly come to a halt, right before his eyes.

"What's going on? Did someone get hit and killed?" Lin Jinglei stared wide-eyed as he looked over.

    "No..."

Yan Zizheng hadn't finished speaking when the people next to him took steps forward to join in the excitement. He immediately reached out and grabbed them.

Lin Jinglei turned around and first glanced at Yan Zizheng's face, then his gaze dropped to the hand grabbing his wrist.

The scorching gaze coming towards them caused Yan Zizheng to loosen his grip. He cleared his throat and said, "Don't go over there, Zhou Yu will handle it."

So the two of them stopped where they were and watched together.

The car started moving, and the wheels slowly rolled forward, which frightened the three crouching people, causing them to immediately retreat.

"Are you still lying there and refusing to get up?" Yu Zhaoyu exclaimed loudly, "Then don't blame me for being impolite, don't think that I'm just trying to scare you."

The wheels that were getting closer and closer finally forced the lying person to sit up. He shouted, "I can't move my legs anymore."

Zhaoyu raised an eyebrow and asked, "Which one?"

    "Left leg."

Zhao Yu wore an expression of mischief on his face as he said, "Then I'll just overpower you. What about if I take both of your legs?"

Ricezi immediately got up in fear.

Lin Jinglei was surprised. There's actually this kind of operation? It's truly a case of intentionally causing an accident.

Zhaoyu fell off the car and said, "If you can fake a fall so convincingly, why don't you go play football? I can afford your life, are you sure you only want to mooch off medical expenses?"

Mi Zi raised her hand angrily and said, "You..."

"I'm wondering, what about me? Aren't you guys very capable?" Yu Zhaoyu stepped forward, pressuring the four individuals. "Don't you all like to bully the weak with your numbers? Come on, hit me, I'll just stand here and let you hit me."

No one expected that this boy, who appeared to be about the same age as the group of young ruffians, could be so arrogant and unreasonable, carrying an air of wealth and power. They were all at a loss for what to do and stood there in silence.

Yao Zhaoyu saw that Du was not saying anything and slowly lowered his head. Suddenly, he yelled loudly, pointing at himself, and said, "Let's go! Hit me here!"

No one dared to move, and no one dared to speak.

The young man's ferocious face was terrifyingly fierce, like a wild beast on the verge of going on a rampage. It caused everything around him to freeze. Those who knew him understood that he was just a first-year high school student, but those who didn't would mistake him for a gang leader giving orders to his subordinates.

Yan Zizheng walked over to stop them, saying, "That's enough."

"What are you doing?" Yu Zhaoyu fiercely poked Mizi's scapula with his finger. "Apologize to my friend first!"

Tang Shan still attended the performance, despite arriving late with bandages wrapped around his head. However, he performed remarkably well.

Lin Jinglei didn't know how Zhao Yu and Yan Zizheng ended up in the end. He didn't stay until the end and left with Tang Shanxian after the bandaging was done. What astonished him was that he and Yan Zizheng had managed to get along peacefully for so long without any fights.

But he believed that the temporary alliance on the front lines would not be a reason for them to ease off, they were destined to never become friends.

When Lin Jinglei returned home, it was already past eleven o'clock. Afraid of waking up the family of three, he opened and closed the door extra slowly and quietly, tiptoeing into the living room. In the darkness, he saw a figure in a sleeping gown with disheveled hair standing up from the sofa.

He was so scared that he almost jumped up. After confirming the identity of the person, he covered his chest and whispered, "Auntie, why are you still not asleep?"

Tong Yuying also replied in a low voice, "I couldn't sleep without you coming back. I called your phone but you didn't answer, and later it was even turned off."

When his aunt called, he was in a boisterous environment filled with deafening music, so he didn't see it. Later on, his phone died as he forgot to charge it. Unexpectedly, his aunt had been waiting for him to come back all this time. Suddenly, Lin Jinglei's conscience was awakened, and he said, "Next time, I will definitely come back earlier so that you won't worry."

"All right, hurry up and go to sleep. Your uncle isn't home tonight, otherwise he would definitely scold you again."

Lin Jinglei immediately headed towards his room, feeling his way back to the bed. Startled once again, he couldn't control himself and blurted out, "What the heck?!"

There was a person on his bed.

Lin Tai was awakened and tightly wrapped himself in his blanket. He said, "Hey brother, what are you shouting for? My bed collapsed, so my mom told me to sleep with you tonight. We'll buy a new one tomorrow."

Lin Jinglei didn't really like physical contact with others. It was definitely out of the question for him to sleep together with someone. He pushed Lin Tai and said, "You go sleep on the couch."

Lin Tai was very tired, so he buried his head in the blanket and said, "I don't want to go, I can't fall asleep."

"That makes it even harder for me to fall asleep."

As Lin Tai slept soundly without responding, Lin Jinglei sat on the edge of the bed, contemplating whether he should directly kick his younger brother down. By the moonlight, he noticed a small stain on the side of his wrist.

Puzzled, he realized that he had accidentally touched something dirty. After turning on the light in the restroom, he was shocked to find dried blood. It didn't seem like his own, especially since there were no wounds in sight.

Lin Jinglei suddenly thought of the hand that was holding his wrist, preventing him from joining the crowd. In his mind, there was a flash of a scene where Yan Zizheng raised his hand to block a stick for him during the chaotic fight, and a streak of red flowed down his arm.

What's going on, there's actually a hint of gratitude? Damn, Lin Jinglei quickly turned on the faucet, vigorously rubbing his wrists, watching the threads of blood mixing into the water spin and flow down the drain. He then returned to the room, rolled up the blanket, and picked up the pillow to go to the living room.

On the second day, Zhaoyu entered the classroom as the bell rang. Seeing the person standing on the platform, he knew it was a math class. With the entire class's gaze fixed on him, he returned to his seat. However, after putting his butt on the chair, he suddenly lost balance and sat on the ground. The scattered pieces of wood and chrome metal fittings made his coccyx ache.

"Damn it, who is it! Who took apart my chair!"

The entire class knew that he had dismantled the chair of the class leader yesterday. Now, seeing him personally experiencing the consequences, there were many suppressed laughter sounds.

"If the chair is broken, just stand and listen to class," Zou Jing turned around and calmly scanned the still sitting Yu Zhaoyu on the ground, and continued the lecture, "Who has another solution to this problem?"
