"Gege Chen!" Yi Mo gazed up at Gu Zechen with her little face, wanting to reach out and touch his swollen ankle, but her hesitant expression made Gu Zechen smile. He shook his head at Yi Mo and then waved his hand.

However, Yi Mo did not find solace because of Gu Zechen's comfort. Instead, she immediately lay down and started blowing on Gu Zechen's ankle.

Her cheeks puffed up, and a cool breeze blew onto her hot ankles, making her feel exceptionally comfortable.

Yi Mo took a few puffs and then looked up at Gu Zechen. Her bright and sparkling eyes were curved with a pleasing expression as she said, "Mo Er will blow on Brother Chen, and the pain will go away after blowing."

Gazing at Yimo's innocent little face and listening to her self-proclaimed innocence, Gu Zechen's heart felt a strong sense of bitterness. He reached out and pulled her up, then shook his head at Yimo, indicating that he wasn't hurt.

Because of the rain, they couldn't go out. Gu Zechen took out a book and started reading. Yi Mo leaned against Gu Zechen, her little head moving slowly...

Seeing that Yi Mo was clearly tired but still insisted on not taking a rest, Gu Zechen smiled indulgently. He spread his legs, then supported Yi Mo's shoulders to help him lie down.

Yi Mo lay with her head resting on Gu Zechen's leg, and turned over, tugging at the hem of his clothes. Soon, she fell asleep.

Gu Zechen pulled the clothes from the side and covered Yi Mo with them, but he himself continued reading under the dim light.

The drizzling rain continued until the afternoon without stopping. Gu Zechen held Yi Mo who was drowsy and fell asleep too.

In a dazed state, Gu Zechen felt a burning sensation all over his body, particularly in his throat which felt dry and painful, causing great discomfort.

Touching his forehead, Gu Zechen knew from the scorching temperature that he had a fever.

For them, there was nothing more miserable than falling ill. Getting sick meant losing income, and on top of that, they had to spend money on medication. It was even more distressing than going without food for several days.

Gu Zechen struggled to prop himself up, the scorching temperature making him feel dizzy. When his body touched the icy cold cement pipe, he let out a sigh of relief.

Once I covered Yi Mo's body, Gu Zechen laid down on the cold surface of the cement pipe. The frigid breath felt like a moving rope, tightly binding his weak and sore body. It was painful, yet oddly comforting.

Gu Zechen is seriously burned, his whole person is in a daze, he doesn't even know when Yi Mo got up.

Seeing Gu Zechen lying on the side, Yi Mo crawled over directly and shook Gu Zechen's arm, saying, "Brother Chen, Brother Chen, why are you sleeping here? Get up quickly, Mo'er is hungry."

Yi Mo shook for a while, but Gu Zechen still had no reaction. Yi Mo burst into tears and cried out, "Brother Chen, Brother Chen, what's wrong with you? Wake up quickly!"

Yi Mo shook Gu Zechen, crying and shouting. But amidst the pouring rain, who could hear the heart-wrenching cries of a lonely and helpless child?

Even though she didn't know what happened, Yi Mo still knew that Gu Zechen was sick and needed to see a doctor.

However, looking at the heavy rain outside, Yimo still wanted to go out but didn't know where to find someone.

Moreover, the sound of rumbling thunder, one after another, made Yi Mo fearfully bite her lip, tears welling up as she crouched next to Gu Zechen.

"Brother Chen, I'm scared!" Every time there was thunder before, Brother Chen would always hold her in his arms. But now, there's thunder outside again. Why isn't Brother Chen getting up to hold her?

Yi Mo lay beside Gu Zechen, tightly curling up her body. Accompanied by a muffled thunder, she hastily pulled up her clothes, directly covering her head.
