Owen is not very old. The reason he can be flattered and respected as Brother Wen is because he has a good father.
Owen's father used to be in the arms trade when he was young. As he grew older and finally had a son like Owen, he hoped for a peaceful end and did not want his future generations to be involved in any criminal activities. Therefore, after Owen was born, he never got involved in those dirty things again.
After several years of doing large-scale charity work, he had gained a bit of a glamorous facade. However, everyone in Owen's father's generation knew his true identity. Even though he no longer associated himself with such matters, one should not underestimate their capabilities.
So after Owen returned to the country, he attended several family gatherings. Those young aristocrats from prominent families would always surround this seemingly skinny and weak boy, who actually came from a wealthy family background.
Owen's eyes have been fixed on the man on the rotating platform, quietly staying in a corner hidden in the shadows.
Cito saw Owen staring at the two people on the podium and thought that Owen had taken a liking to the girl. "Brother Wen, do you like mature women? Brother Wen, it's fine if you do. Mature ones have their charm. Do you need our help?"
"No need."
Owen shrugged off the incident of mistaking the target. He didn't want to dwell on it. Now, his mind was filled with the image of the man from earlier. He had a keen eye for judging people and knew what type of person the man was. Being rejected caught him off guard, but it only made him even more curious about the man's performance in bed.
"Qinjie, have you finished eating?"
Hua Long took off the gloves, which were already covered in red-hot chili oil, and watched as Su Yaqin finished eating the last shrimp.
"Okay, I'm full now."
Su Yaqin patted her bulging belly. She practically devoured both plates of spicy prawns, while her son only had a few bites. Su Yaqin knew her son was filial, so she didn't throw a tantrum and obediently followed behind Hua Long to settle the bill.
Stinger: "Brother Wen, I'm leaving now."
"Uh, I'll just go then. You guys can play by yourselves."
Owen wanted to handle things on his own, so naturally he didn't want a group of people following him, especially when even his father didn't know his sexual orientation. It would be impossible for him to openly bring along a bunch of people to chase after someone. Therefore, Owen let the troublemakers entertain themselves and he left the bar alone.
Hua Long led Su Yaqin out of the bar. The sky outside had already turned pitch black, but the lights from the stalls and shops in the night market illuminated the street, making it as bright as daylight.
The two of them headed towards the bustling night market, and Owen, upon seeing them, quickly caught up by taking quick strides.
Hua Long quickly realized that someone was chasing after him from behind. Here, he was unfamiliar, so in everyone's eyes, he was a stranger, naturally unlike in the familiar territory where everyone would give him three points of deference because of Lin Lan.
Hua Long took out two red notes from his wallet and stuffed them into Su Yaqin's hand. "Yaqin, find a place to sit for a while, have a coffee or something. We'll contact each other later. I'll take care of something."
"Hua Hua, what's wrong?" Su Yaqin became a little worried when she saw Hua Long return with a heavy heart.
"It's nothing, just a small matter."
Hua Long gave Su Yaqin a slight smile, then headed towards the crowded direction. His words were naturally heard by Owen, who was not far from them.
As Owen passed by Su Yaqin, he smiled at her with a meek expression on his face, and then he leisurely walked past, following the figure of Hualong.
Did he really think that Owen was just a trivial matter?
I'm afraid it's because this man feels he's not worthy enough?
No problem. When the time comes, I will let him see for himself whether he is qualified enough or not!
