Mu Yu shook her head and said, "No..."
Just as the words left his mouth, three young men walked in from outside. They were all in their twenties, and two of them looked identical in appearance.
The middle-aged young man pretended to examine Mu Yu for a while before jokingly addressing Zhang Tianshi, "Hey, Master, you left so energetically this morning and came back with someone in the afternoon. Not bad, huh?"
After the joke was over, he extended his right hand to Mu Yu and said, "I am his senior apprentice brother, named Li Mingyue. If you have any problems in the future, remember to come to me."
Mu Yu was a little stunned, but his body quickly reacted and he shook hands with Li Mingyue. "My name is Mu Yu," he said.
"The twins walked forward, and one of them intuitively extended a hand."
"Cheng Sheng, the second disciple."
"Program, third disciple."
Mu Yu shook hands with each of them before turning back and looking a bit uncertainly at Zhang Tianshi.
"Master Zhang appears to be very happy. He waved his hand to drive away the three people and said, "Alright, you've all seen him. Don't stand around here. I haven't secured this young disciple yet, old man that I am.""
The three of them responded with a "yes" and left the lobby as instructed.
Watching their three figures disappear, the old man smiled and said, "Those three boys are all my disciples. The one with the gold-rimmed glasses in the twin pair is the leader. They're all just a bunch of idle playthings, so don't listen to whatever nonsense they say."
Mu Yu could only respond with a sound, feeling a bit embarrassed. Previously, he thought that there was only Zhang Tianshi here, but he didn't expect that there were three other people, and they were all Zhang's apprentices. It seems that he needs to reconsider this apprenticeship matter.
Zhang Tianshi patted his shoulder and said, "Don't be so uptight. We, people of our lineage, are used to being casual and lazy. You'll find that they're different from what they appear to be on the surface after you spend more time with them. Don't be fooled by my flashy clothes, I saved them for a special occasion. I specifically wore it today to come find you."
"Master Zhang did not care about what he was thinking and went on to smoke a few puffs before starting to talk about their lineage history."
"Our clan is the orthodox Celestial Master clan, and I am the 67th generation to inherit the lineage. My title as Celestial Master is also passed down from generation to generation. Each generation's leader carries the title of Celestial Master. The first Celestial Master was our ancestor, Zhang Daoling. Don't rush to agree or refuse about the apprenticeship. Stay with me for a month and then decide. After this month, whether you go or stay, it's all up to you."
After night fell, Zhang Tian Shi chatted with him for a long time before letting him take a shower and then go to rest with Li Mingyue.
Li Mingyue is tall and sturdy with a clear and dignified facial structure. He always wears a smile on his face, never getting too anxious or impulsive. He seems to take an interest in Mu Yu and during their journey together, he constantly searches for topics to talk to her about, eager to strike up a conversation.
Mu Yu, due to various reasons since she was young, had not left the village much and only saw a few people from the village. Faced with this overly familiar person, she could only nod and listen to him talk, occasionally asking a question to which he would reply only one or two sentences.
Li Mingyue ranted and raved, but when he saw the child in front of him bowing his head without much response, he realized that he may have gone too far. He quickly stopped talking and refrained from asking too many questions, afraid of leaving a bad impression on his future junior martial brother.
As the two of them walked to the front of the door, Li Mingyue gave a command and then turned away without any hesitation.
After entering the room, Mu Yu laid the bag on his back onto the table and looked around the room.
The furnishings in the room were complete and orderly, as if someone frequently cleaned them. In addition to the tea set, there was also a white porcelain vase on the table, on which was painted a tree full of plum blossoms, exceptionally exquisite.
The entire building is designed in an antique style, with red paint and vermilion walls, hanging screens, and potted orchids, creating a serene ambiance.
After taking a shower, Mu Yu's hair still had some moisture. He leaned down to close the wooden door before lying down on the red cotton blanket. He closed his eyes and processed everything that happened today. Feeling a bit stuffy, he took off his clothes and pants.
This house was a luxury that he had never seen before. The antique porcelain in the lobby was not something that could be displayed by ordinary people. The four people who lived in this house were all impressive in appearance and had an air of presence in their every move.
Decked out in a brand new Zhongshan suit, Zhang Tianshi appeared mild-mannered and easy-going, while Li Mingyue seemed to hide his sharpness behind his golden eyes. Cheng Cheng, who looked exactly like Cheng Sheng, always scrutinized him from head to toe with his probing gaze, as if measuring or pondering something.
These four individuals can be considered outstanding figures among people. How could Mu Yu have caught the attention of Zhang Tianshi? If there was something special about him that caught the attention of the Tianshi, he would not have believed it. He was just an ordinary person, a newcomer to the city who was clueless. Zhang Tianshi wouldn't simply take notice of him just because of one question he asked, there must be some reason behind it, but he didn't know what it was at the moment.
At some point, Teng Yi was already sitting next to Mu Yu. The eerie aura emanating from him caused the temperature in the room to drop significantly, no longer feeling as hot and stuffy.
Teng Yi watched as he lay almost naked on the red blanket without reaching out to grab his wrist.
Mu Yu suddenly felt a coldness on his ankle. When he opened his eyes, he saw Teng Yi sitting beside his bed. He moved slightly and carefully watched Teng Yi's expression as he tried to withdraw his ankle.
"Teng Yi lowered his gaze and looked at his slender legs, and he touched up his legs directly. Seeing this, Mu Yu quickly withdrew his leg, but Teng Yi pressed another hand directly on his shoulder and pressed him back onto the red blanket, unable to move."
Mu Yu struggled without making a sound, watching the face above gradually enlarge in his line of sight. There was urgency and panic in his eyes, but he dared not shout anything and could only watch as Teng Yi approached little by little. The cold breath even gave him goose bumps in the hot summer.
Suddenly, three muffled knocks came from the door, "Knock! Knock! Knock!"
Murong Yuxin was startled and turned her head towards the direction of the room's door.
Teng Yi glanced at the small face that was close at hand, and turned slightly to follow Mu Yu's gaze towards the door.
In the next instant, Teng Yi turned into a black mist and headed straight for the backpack on the table, diving into the Dragon Seal.
Mu Yu let out a long breath, seeming to be relieved. He quickly put on his clothes and his hands and feet felt a bit weak from being frightened.
"Knock! Knock! Knock!" There was another three knocks on the door. Mu Yu hurried over and opened it, only to see Zhang Tian Shi with a smoking pipe in his mouth, appearing to be smoking."
Master Zhang glanced around the room out of the corner of his eye. He tucked away the talisman in his hand with a swift motion of his left hand and said with a smile, "Old man, I came here specifically to check on you since I was worried you might not be comfortable. I reckon you need to rest, so I won't disturb you any longer."
As he spoke, the old man turned around and made as if to leave. However, he seemed to recall something and took the cigarette out of his mouth. "By the way, my young disciple, if there's anything you need or if you dislike something, remember to tell me. Treat this place as your home and don't be too polite."
Muyu responded with a sound and watched the old man's figure disappear from sight. Not knowing if it was an illusion, the old man's last words seemed to have some deeper meaning.
Mu Yuyu closed the door and leaned his back against it. He turned to look at the bundle on the table containing the Dragon Seal and remembered how he had been restrained earlier. If it weren't for the knock on the door, he would have been powerless to resist that demon. Perhaps he should consider what Qingfeng Daoist had said and temporarily seal this demon away to prevent any threats it might pose to him.
Zhang, the celestial master, paused at the corner and began to grind the talisman in his sleeve with one hand. A smile appeared on his lips as he spoke, "This apprentice is quite interesting. Is he raising ghosts? Which evil sect taught him? No wonder he emanates such a strong yin aura."
