Tang Mintian changed her clothes and came downstairs. There was already a stranger sitting in the living room downstairs.
Tang Mintian, who came down from the upstairs, looked at Xu Jin in the living room. She was stunned for a long time at the entrance of the building before she recovered her composure.
"Tiantian." Xu Jin had been staring at her ever since Tang Mintian appeared. He did not move his gaze away from her for even a moment. When she walked to his side, he shouted.
"You're here?" As the saying went, one should not hit a smiling person. No matter how unhappy Tang Mintian was in her heart, she still replied with a smile.
"I'm here." Xu Jin replied.
"Then you guys can go play! I'll go to the company first." Tang's father looked at the two of them and couldn't hide the smile on his face.
He put on the coat that the butler brought and buttoned it up. Then he walked out with large strides. The butler carried his bag and followed behind. He put the bag in the car and asked the driver to take the old man to the company.
In the living room, Tang Mintian and Xu Jin sat opposite each other in silence. When Xu Jin saw the person he liked, his heart was filled with joy. His eyes had always been on Tang Mintian, never moving away. His face was calm, but his heart was anxious. He wanted to speak to her, but he was afraid that he would offend her. Tang Mintian felt uncomfortable under his burning gaze. She wanted to run away, but she couldn't find an excuse. She wanted to say something to divert his attention. She was not good with words, so she couldn't find a topic to talk about for a long time.
There was a long silence between the two sides. Tang Mintian felt that the atmosphere was too awkward and stiff, so she faked a cough. "What would you like to drink?"
"Just a glass of water." Xu Jin came back to his senses, quickly restrained his expression and said.
Tang Mintian got up and personally went to pour him a glass of water.
"Thank you." Xu Jin took it and thanked her with bright eyes.
The water was a little hot, but Xu Jin, who was immersed in his own emotions, did not notice it at all. He took it and drank it.
Seeing this, Tang Mintian quickly took out a tissue and handed it to him, asking, "Are you alright?"
"I'm fine, thank you." Xu Jin put down the cup in his hand, took the tissue that Tang Mintian handed him, and wiped the water off his clothes.
As Xu Jin wiped his hands, he hated himself. In front of the person he liked, he actually lost his composure like this. If she lost her impression of him and didn't like him, then who was to blame for all of this?
Tang Mintian noticed the red on Xu Jin's mouth and knew that he was not lightly scalded. She ordered Aunt Qiong to find some burn ointment.
"Apply it on," Tang Mintian said as she handed him the burn ointment.
"No need, thank you." Xu Jin's tongue was numb, and his words were a little unclear.
"Really?" Tang Mintian asked again, puzzled.
"No need." Xu Jin firmly shook his head and refused.
His injury was on his tongue. How could he apply medicine? He did not want to lose his composure in front of his goddess again.
"Cut, pass," the director shouted.
After the filming was over, the actor playing the role of Xu Jin, Zhang Xiao, extended his hand. Tang Wanwan held out her hand.
"Hello, I'm Zhang Xiaoyi," Zhang Xiao introduced himself.
"Hello, I'm Tang Wanwan." Tang Wanwan reached out and shook his hand.
"You look even better than on TV," Zhang Xiaoyi praised her generously.
"Thank you." Tang Wanwan was not proud of his praise at all. She only thanked him calmly.
She had a clear understanding of her own appearance, so she smiled without batting an eyelid at Zhang Xiaoyi's praise.
After Tang Wanwan's scene was finished, the director went to film other people's scenes.
In the afternoon, Tang Wanwan had no scenes to film. Once again, she had free time. She decided to return to the capital. She had been out for more than half a month. She really missed her son.
"Ms Ling, I need to hurry back to the capital," Tang Wanwan said to Ms Ling as she changed back into her clothes in the changing room.
"Yes." Ms Ling looked at her but did not ask anything. She just nodded expressionlessly.
Back at the hotel, Tang Wanwan quickly packed her bags. She packed the suit she had bought for Shen Lyi on the bottom floor of the suitcase and pulled him away.
After flying for almost two hours, they arrived at the airport in Jingdu. Tang Wanwan was carrying a small single room bag and holding a phone. She walked in front, followed by Ms Ling and Meng. Yang Fann dragged his suitcase and followed behind.
As soon as they got out of the airport, Tang Wanwan flagged down a taxi and got in. The driver glanced at Tang Wanwan in the rearview mirror in surprise.
He had been driving a taxi in the capital for eight years, so he knew all the places.
Who in the capital didn't know about the Shen's residence? Anyone in the capital had heard of it and knew about it.
He wondered who the woman in the back seat was, wearing a cap and sunglasses, her head never raised since she got in the car, and what her relationship with the Shen family was.
From her attire, it was obvious that she was an extremely young woman.
But he had never heard of the Shen family having a daughter.
The driver kept his eyes on the rearview mirror as he drove. Yang Fann, who was sitting next to him, noticed his actions very clearly. He raised his hand and knocked on the door. He looked at him and said, "Please drive seriously."
The driver was woken up by the knock. He quickly glanced at Yang Fann, who had a cold gaze, and then shivered coldly. He did not dare to have any other thoughts and drove seriously.
The car drove all the way up the mountain and stopped at the Shen family's gate. Tang Wanwan got out of the car, took off her sunglasses, and smiled at the security guard. "Please open the door."
Tang Wanwan had lived in the Shen's residence for a long time, and the security guards were very familiar with her.
"Young Madam, please wait a moment," the security guard said respectfully.
The door opened and Tang Wanwan led Ms Ling and the others into the Shen's residence. The taxi driver, who had not left yet, was stunned when he saw this scene. He could not react in time.
Was the person he had just pulled the star Tang Wanwan?
Before he could think about it seriously, the security guard came over and knocked on the window.
The driver suddenly came back to his senses and smiled at him awkwardly. He started the engine and left.
When he returned to the Shen's residence and entered the house, there was no one else in the living room except for Uncle Zhang.
Uncle Zhang had been seriously injured in the car accident, and his body was still in a bad state. When he saw Tang Wanwan return, he quickly stood up with a kind smile on his face. He asked in surprise, "Young Madam, aren't you filming?"
"Uncle Zhang, sit down." Tang Wanwan saw Uncle Zhang's excited expression and was afraid that he would accidentally bump into the sofa and fall to the ground. She hurriedly reached out to help him sit down again before she explained to him, "There weren't many scenes today, so I came back to take a look."
Ms Ling, Meng and the others sat beside Tang Wanwan. Their luggage was placed on the side. Tang Wanwan instructed Xiao Zhao, who had just come out of the kitchen, to make a few cups of tea and bring the rest of the luggage upstairs. Then, she looked at Uncle Zhang with a puzzled expression and asked, "Uncle Zhang, where did Grandpa and the others go?"
"Old Man Ji's been getting worse, and Old Man Ji and his wife have gone to see him at the hospital." Uncle Zhang sighed. It was normal for everyone to experience life and death. However, seeing that Old Ji, who had always been in good health, fell ill just like that and was even hospitalized for more than a month, the Ji family found many famous doctors and used the best medicine to treat him. However, not only did he not recover, but his condition worsened. They could not help but feel sad and sigh.
Everyone in the Shen family knew what the Ji family had been doing in the past few years. Everyone knew that Ji Qing liked the Eldest Young Master, and it was an indisputable fact that she had framed Tang Wanwan, ruined her reputation, and caused her to be despised and insulted by everyone.
There was no wall in the world that did not leak information. One could easily find out what was going on behind the scenes of the Ji family. After the young mistress married into the Shen family, she became the young mistress of the Shen family, a wealthy family all over the country. Anyone would be envious of her. As soon as the gossip broke out, Tang Wanwan instantly became the target of public criticism.
