Tang Wanwan was stunned for a moment. She got up under Meng's pull and walked to the bathroom.
Meng sat on a chair in the room and read the script that Tang Wanwan had put aside.
Tang Wanwan brushed her teeth and washed her face. She combed her messy hair, picked up her makeup bag from the suitcase, and sat at the side to wash her face. Ms Ling bought breakfast and knocked on the door. Meng quickly put down the script and got up to open the door.
Ms Ling entered the room and saw that Tang Wanwan was still putting on makeup. She put breakfast on the table, took out Meng's and her own, and took the lead to eat.
The aroma of breakfast wafted through the room. Tang Wanwan, who was in the middle of putting on makeup, felt her stomach empty. She turned her head to look at the two of them, who were sitting at the side eating breakfast. She gritted her teeth in annoyance and finished her makeup in a hurry. She didn't have time to clean up the makeup on the table. She washed her hands and went over to grab a steamed bun to take a bite.
Ms Ling and Meng raised their heads and looked at each other. The two sides looked at each other and continued to eat their breakfast in silence.
After breakfast, Tang Wanwan changed her clothes and left the hotel with Ms Ling and the others. They arrived at the filming location, the airport.
Tang Wanwan was right. The first scene of the filming was indeed about the main character. However, it was not her scene. It was about the main character, Kieran.
Early in the morning, the airport was crowded with people. Because of the filming, the directing team had rented a place in advance. The crew and airport staff were keeping the crowd at bay.
"The first act of the first round, 3, 2, 1, action!" The filming crew shouted.
Yi Tingfeng pulled a grey suitcase and sat in the elevator. He put his hand in his pocket and looked at the airport.
He came back after four years.
Everything seemed the same but changed again.
At the airport, he left as usual. There was no familiar figure. He came back this time because he heard that she was getting engaged, so he rushed back.
He had liked her for four whole years. How could he just give her to someone else? He hadn't had the chance to confess to her yet. Why couldn't she wait for him?
Tang Mintian was the daughter of a noble family, and in their circle, it was no longer a secret. He knew everything, but he did not expect her to hide it so deeply that he could not see through it.
Tian Tian, I'm back.
"Young Master, welcome home." The butler who came to pick up Yi Tingfeng led his bodyguards and bowed as they shouted in unison.
"Cut, let's start again." The director shouted.
Kieran was shocked by the sudden shout.
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry," Kieran apologized.
"Go back, do it again," the director said into the walkie-talkie.
Tang Wanwan watched from the side, her face expressionless.
Whether the first act was hers or not was not that important. But why did she feel sad?
Could it be... because she was unwilling? Or was it because of something else? Tang Wanwan lowered her eyelids and covered the emotions in her eyes as she thought about it.
Tang Wanwan raised her head and looked at Kieran, who was getting into the elevator and getting ready to start all over again. Her eyes were filled with confusion.
She had thought she was getting used to the cold shoulder she had received at the Legend of Mir 2, and she had thought that the atmosphere would be better when she came to do You Like, but she was in the same awkward position.
Yan Qing's estrangement, the perfunctoriness of the others, the falseness of the director, and the coldness of the others all seemed to be cutting her into pieces. They were like a slow poison, seeping into her heart bit by bit, gouging out her heart without any mercy.
Among so many people, not a single one of them was willing to believe her. It was truly lamentable.
It was a simple scene, but Kieran had to repeat it three times before he could finish it.
Tang Wanwan lowered her head and closed her eyes to the outside world.
Their distrust, dislike, and coldness broke her heart, which she thought was indestructible.
In the past, she and Ms Ling and Meng would play around mindlessly, hiding the numbness in her heart. Today, she was listless and depressed.
When Ms Ling saw her like this, she began to worry.
"Wanwan?" Ms Ling called out in a low voice.
Tang Wanwan was immersed in her own thoughts and did not hear or answer.
"Wanwan?" Ms Ling shouted again.
Tang Wanwan still did not answer.
"Tang Wanwan." Ms Ling called her full name and raised her voice.
"Huh? Ms Ling, you called me? What's the matter?" Tang Wanwan came back to her senses and looked at Ms Ling blankly.
"What's wrong with you?" Ms Ling did not hide the worry in her eyes.
"I'm fine. Don't worry," Tang Wanwan patted her arm and said with a smile.
Ms Ling still looked at her in disbelief. Her worry for her grew stronger and stronger.
"Don't be so nervous. I'm really fine," Tang Wanwan said, not knowing whether to laugh or cry as she looked at Ms Ling, who had a worried expression on her face.
She was just thinking about something. Other than that, there was nothing else.
However, when she saw Ms Ling's worry for her, her heart felt warm.
Who said that no one believed her? She still had people who believed her, like Mr. Shen, like Ms Ling, like Meng. They all believed in her! What else was there to be dissatisfied about?
She could just ignore the cold gazes of others. Why was there a need to be so serious? Why couldn't she figure out the distance between others? He could just ignore the dislike of others. Why should he be sad?
[There are thousands of things in the world that don't work out. Why can't I understand it? Why should I be sad about it?]
"Ms Ling, thank you." Tang Wanwan's sudden gratitude instantly stunned Ms Ling.
What was there to thank her for? The sudden gratitude left her unable to react in time. She wanted to ask again, but the knot between her brows had already dissipated. She swallowed back the question she wanted to ask.
After filming the scene at the airport, she put away the equipment, got on a bus, and headed towards the Still Water Villa District.
The next scene happened to be Tang Wanwan's.
In four years, Tang Mintian had graduated from college and entered society, helping Tang's father manage the company.
Tang Mintian was beautiful, her temperament was quite good, and her ability was outstanding. There were countless high-quality men around her. Every day, when she walked into the company, she would receive three bouquets of bright red roses, each of which had 99 flowers.
She had never looked at them seriously because in her heart, there was a name that she didn't know. It had been deeply engraved in her heart, and she couldn't forget it even if she wanted to.
Four years of youth was neither long nor short. After Yi Tingfeng left the country, her heart had also left.
Days passed one after another. Tang's father grew old, and she grew older. Moreover, she had waited for him for four years.
Tang Wanwan closed the script in her hand and tilted her head to look at the cars passing by outside the window. The pedestrians passing by on the street reminded her of her university days.
At that time, it was undeniable that she was happy. She had a best friend and a boyfriend by her side. Every day was very happy. However, everything was ruined that summer. They both betrayed her and made her look like an ugly duckling. She was so stupid and ridiculous.
Fortunately, all her good fortune and bad luck had passed, and she didn't have to feel sad or regretful about what had happened in the past. She had new friends, Mr. Shen, who loved her the most, and she loved him the most. Her previous dreams had become reality. She was very lucky to be able to have all of this.
When they arrived at the Stillwater Villa, the car stopped in front of the iron gate. The scene inside the villa had already been prepared beforehand by the staff. Now, all Tang Wanwan needed to do was put on makeup and change her clothes to prepare for filming.
After half an hour of makeup, Tang Wanwan, dressed in a black suit, walked briskly up the stairs. She climbed the five-centimeter steps and closed the door behind her. She tidied her clothes and took an expensive lady's watch from the staff. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath.
