“It’s 7:50 a.m. now. Luckily I’m not late.”

Linda Jiang stood before a bar called Blue, while panting. She came here not to have fun but to work. She just finished a day’s work and didn’t have dinner for fear of being late, for this was the first day for her to work in this bar.

“Sorry. I’m sorry.”

“Hey! Why are you so hurry?” Linda Jiang felt unlucky because she was knocked down on her first day at work. “Hiss……” Her skin was broken.

“I’m so sorry. I have something urgent to deal with. Are you okay? Let me help you up.”

Seeing that this man was polite, Linda Jiang was less angry but she didn’t show that. She didn’t use a soft tone of voice because of this man’s handsomeness either.

“Ahem! I’m fine. Since you’re in hurry, just pay me $700 as compensation and I’ll forgive you.”

“What? $700? Are you grabbing money? You are not hurt. Why should I pay you $700?”

“Do you know it’s my first day at work? What if my boss fire me due to something wrong caused by you? And the charges for loss of working time, mental damage……”

“Wait……you mean you work at here?”

“Yes. What’s up?”

“Nothing. I did have something urgent to deal with. I’ll come here before you get off work. Okay?”

Of course, Linda Jiang didn’t agree because she was not sure whether he would come back.

“Are you tired? Take a rest! The manager is not here.” said a girl of Linda Jiang’s age.

“I’m okay. Thank you.” How dare Linda Jiang take a rest on the first day at work? She dare not and was unwilling to do that. She believed that she could bear it.

“Don’t worry. Our boss is nice. It’s okay to rest for a while if there is no urgent work. You look pale. Are you okay？”

“I was hurry to go to work so I didn’t have dinner. I have a stomachache. I’ll be fine after taking a break.” Linda Jiang looked up and saw the girl’s work card, which read “Daisy Li”.

Daisy Li left without saying anything. After a while, she came back with a cup of hot milk. “Linda, Drink the milk. You should take care of yourself besides working hard, otherwise you will be in poor health without earning much money.”

“Thank you, Daisy.” Daisy Li saw Linda Jiang looking at her work card and understood the reason why Linda knew her name.
