I cut off the grass with the weeding knife. When I took it out of the toolbox it was dirty with the soil. Jesus, did I forget to wash it yesterday? Nevermind I will wash it today, remember it Alyssa! I washed my hand and the knife after weeding and went into the house.

“Grandma, what are we having on for dinner today, I am soooo hungry , I can eat a whole chicken!” I said to grandma.

I lived with grandma since I was 10 because my mom and dad were divorced. When I was young, I used to see them arguing everyday. I didn’t know what were they arguing about but I think it was because of money problem, adult’s thing. My dad was addicted to drugs and he would hit mom sometimes. HE WAS CRAZY. Mom and I were scared of him. I would try to stop him when I was in primary school but I had stopped because I knew it never worked. One day, they argued as usual but it was more serious than before. “Give me more money, Linda or I will kill you!”I heard my dad said. He had bloodshot eyes and he was wearing the shirt’s mom gave him on their wedding anniversary 2 years ago, it had became dirty and there were a lot of holes on it, I thought he didn’t cherish it. “I would not give you the money, Simon!”mom said, she hugged me tighter and started to cry, both of us sat on the ground,trembling. He slapped mom hard and lifted the knife into the air.”NO!” I screamed. Suddenly, a policeman broke the door and quickly tackled him to the floor. “You are arrested!”the policeman exclaimed.

The police brought my dad to the police station, and I never saw him after that day and I couldn’t careless. I HATE HIM. My mom suffered from depression after that day and she was admitted to a hospital in Nesbraka. Grandma brought me to visit her sometimes, she always looked tired and she would reject if she is outbreaked of depression. I feel sorry to see her like this. Grandma and I live in a small town that only has 500 resident. We live near a forest and when I was young, I was scared to go into there but I like to hear the sound of the birds tweet. I had saw a bird that has blue fur on it, it look so pretty. Grandma told me its name is mountain bluebird. Grandma was a researcher when she was young, she knew many things about the animals. She always tied up her hair into a bun and wore cardigan every day although in summer. Her name is Fiona, everyone in the town know her and when they see me they will say,”hey, you are the grandaughter of Fiona. ”

“We will have fried chicken and smashed potato today. I know that’s your favourite.”grandma says,grinning.

”Hooray! I would eat all of it! Thanks grandma.”

After dinner, I went back to my room and did the homeworks. My grade is good in school but I still don’t know what to do after graduation although I has been in form 5. I looked out the window and I saw a glowing ball was flying in the forest. What the hell was that thing? Iran out of my room to see it more clearly but it has dissapeared. I shout “Grandma grandma!” . She was sitting on the couch watching tv. She turned her head and asked”what?”.

“I saw a glowing ball flying in the forest!”

“It’s just a fireflies, there are many of it in the forest. ”she said.

No! It is huge, its size is like a ball”

“Is it still there?”

“No,it has disappeared,”

“You would find it again, sweety. I hope you can tell me what is it.”she said, and turned back her head to watch the wild life channel. I went back to my room and think of was that thing. It didn’t look like a firefly. A ghost? A fairy? A pixie? I swear I would find out what was that.

After that night, I always look to the forest, I even put a net in my room to catch it if it appear again. I hope to see the it again but it didn’t appear although I had wait for it for 1 week. On Friday night, I was thinking to give up. Maybe it was just a firefly. I walked back to my room and lay on my bed, suddenly I saw it, It was flying on the ceiling. I quickly took the net and try to catch it and I succeed! I saw it through the net. It was a doll with a pair of glooming blue eyes and brown curled hair. I opened the net to touch it but it fly to the forest.”HEY!” I ran out of the house and hoped to catch it. “Where are you going?”grandma shouted.

“I saw the glowing ball again, wait for my answer!”

It immediately fly to the sky and dissapeared again, I was lost. I looked around and I couldn't see my home or any light from other direction. Gosh…what am I supposed to do now? I am an idiot, why would I run into the forest to follow a flying toy?

The bushes beside me rustled. I quickly stepped back. Would a tiger suddenly jump out to eat me? My eyes are full of tears.The hissed sound was getting closer and I started to scream. “Stay away from me!”. I shouted. A boy walked out from the bushes. He sweept away the leaves on his body. He shy away my eyes and his blond hair has covered his eyes. He was wearing a pure white t-shirt and a black trouser. “Hey, I’m lost. Do you know the way to go out? ”I said.

He glanced me, he has beautiful bleuming eyes.”No, I was also lost in here. I am finding the way too.”he shrugged. I stood up and thought what should I do now. I felt thristy and asked him,”do you know where has river or lake? I need to drink some water.” He didn’t say anything and start to walk away, I followed him but he walked very fast and he didn’t wait for me. God, he is weird. I followed him to a monumental warterfall, the scenery was beautiful, a lot of fireflies twinkked like the stars around the waterfall, I wish I have a phone right now to take photo. I drank the water of the waterfall, it was cool and has a little sweet taste.
