Before Dalia knew it, a week had passed and she was both nervous as well as excited as she was on her way to the building that could change her life.

Again she rode the bus and again she had missed her stop by being deep in thought. Luckily she made it on time and met with the secretary.

    "Are you Melanie?"

"Yep. Follow me and we'll get you the script and you'll even get to meet some of the crew as well." -Awesome!- was what Dalia was thinking but she contained her excitement. -I understand the drill after playing other roles, this one will just be longer and have more lines.-

-A lot more lines.- She thought after seeing the script but that's to be expected. "Here's the filming schedule. Its got the date, time, and location. If you can't make it to a shoot then you need to let us know one week in advance. Anything otherwise will be taken into consideration by the director. He's pretty laid back but don't take advantage of that cause he's scary to. Think you can handle all of it?"

Dalia processed all the information given to her and agreed she could do it. Even if she thought she'd have a hard time with it she would still agree. How could she not?

"Would you like to meet the rest of the crew?" Melanie asked and Dalia nodded. "Wait right here." she said and scurried off. Dalia followed the woman with her eyes and watched as she went up to a male who's back was turned but she didn't need to see the face to know who it was.

She knew that figure all too well. It was her ex, from her teen years. She walked over to a different area, one that Melanie wouldn't find her at least not right away. She tapped the shoulder of a man working on a rack of clothes and he turned around. "Hi im Dalia."

"The lead female role right? Im Pat, nice to meet you." They shook hands and she glanced over her shoulder hoping melanie wouldn't find her and saw the man that broke her heart following close behind her.

Pat followed her gaze. "Oh, has Danny caught your eye?" he laughed. She looked back at him as he continued browsing the clothes. "You know him?" She asked very curiously. "Yeah, he's the lead male role for this show."

"What!" She said a little too loud and ran to the other side so she wouldn't risk being seen. Pat looked at her very confused at the situation. "Seems like you know him to." He laughed. Dalia explained while peeking through the clothes. "Actually he's my ex boyfriend. We dated back in high school and I was naive enough to believe we would last but I moved away and it seemed to work like that but one day he decided to break us."

Pat looked at her and understood the problem. "Do you think you can still stand the role?" She finally stopped glancing around and looked at Pat. "I won't let anything stop me, I've finally come this far." She was determined. "Will you be able to handle the sex scenes?" He asked her.

Her eyes widened when she heard him ask that question. "What do you mean?!" she said as loud as she could without actually yelling. "You didn't know? It was in the advertisement."

Dalia pulled out her phone and saw what he was talking about. In small letters at the bottom of the ad is where she saw that statement. "Don't worry too much. You wont have to take your clothes off or except for maybe your shirt and you'll have to wear a strapless bra." Pat tried to reassure her.

"How are you saying all this with a straight face? And how do you know so much?"

"Im close with the director actually and I've been in this business for a long time. That and im also gay." That news hit Dalia like a rock in the face. "Did not expect that of all answers. Well I guess that explains why you're dressed really nice."

"Thanks." He smiled. Dalia slowly walked out from behind the clothes. "Guess that means I can't hide forever then huh."

"I'll always be here if you need to talk. Dressing room is down that hall, third door on the right." he offered and pointed in that direction. "Thanks, I'll go get this over with now." She said gesturing toward Melanie and Danny who had gathered in a group of other cast members by now.

She hesitantly went up to the group of people who, from what she overheard, was already looking for her. That's when Melanie caught sight of her and rushed over to her. "There you are"!

"Sorry, I had to use the restroom." Dalia lied. It felt funny to act proper. -Restroom is a funny word when you grow up just saying bathroom.- She smiled forgetting everything for a couple of seconds until that thing she dreaded was right in front of her, literally.

Her smile faded when she saw Danny right there in front of her. Everyone else seemed invisible but not like in the movies she'd watch where it was meant to be romantic. Unfortunately that's exactly what was going to happen here.

Everyone in the group was introducing themselves to one another and Dalia knew she couldn't avoid him forever.

He finally broke the silence with an awkward "Hey Dalia."

"Hey" she responded. They were far enough apart that two people could fill the gap so Danny took two steps forward. Dalia began to do something she hadn't done in a long time. An hold habit that took her a long time to finally stop doing. She backed away slow so that no one realised it until she was a comfortable distance away.

Unfortunately for her, Danny remembered this trick of hers. "Relax, you don't have to back away. Lets leave the past in the past so its not so awkward. Maybe we can even get some coffee later." He suggested.

At that point Dalia almost lost it. Thankfully she was composed knowing that she could jeopardise this job. She now had full confidence in herself.

"Look Danny, I wont pretend that you didn't break my heart and I sure as heck wont pretend that I like you. You knew my situation and if you felt like that then you should have done it earlier instead of waiting. You set it up so that you didn't have to go through the pain. You got detached before you took action and by doing so I went through twice as much. If it weren't for this job being such a big deal I'd quit. Id appreciate it if you did your role and nothing more."

She was stern with every burning word and she meant it to. He was left speechless and Dalia brushed past him leaving for the day.
