    Chapter 32

Sean opened his eyes wide. He was so shocked that he even did not tear himself from Gene at first. When feeling the tongue of Gene tried to enter his mouth, Sean reacted and bit him violently.

Gene let go of Sean, seeming to be a little sober with the blood in his mouth. He wanted to apologize to Sean and gave him a reassuring hug as his friend, but he only looked up to see his paler face with disgust and distrust as if he had been betrayed.

"Sean......" Gene called his name carefully and wanted to touch the back of his hand, but he was pushed away on the next second and then slapped across the face.

Sean pushed Gene away and got out of bed. He said nothing with blank eyes. He intended to walk towards the door.

But Gene clenched his wrist at once: "It's my fault. You are in poor health. Please lie down for a while before you go back, ok?"

Sean clenched his teeth and tried to tear his wrist free form Gene's hand. Gene could only let go of him as he was afraid that he would be injured. He was really impulsive this day as if he was possessed. His body was not controlled by his brain.

"Sean, Sean." Gene couldn't stop him, so he could just follow him to walk out of the rest room and then walked through the corridor of the hospital: "I really like you. You hate me like this?"

Sean stopped suddenly and looked back at Gene for a long time before he looked away. His voice was still gentle and soft. "I just don't want you to continue the mistake. You're excellent. But I can't spoil your life."

Strangely, what Gene concerned about was not the rejection and alienation of Sean but Sean’s forgetting to take the coat as he came out too anxiously. Sick people did not have good immunity, and they were all afraid of cold. And Sean's situation was particularly bad. He would get a fever all the time if he catched a cold.

Gene was so flustered, taking off his white coat in a hurry. He put the dress on Sean with almost pleading voice:"Stop talking. I won't force you. It's too cold, and I'll take you home. You can refuse me on the car, ok?"

Sean's heart ached severely, feeling aggrieved for Gene at this moment all of a sudden. A young and rich doctor, who was self-disciplined when they met the first time, should have shed tears for him and begged his opinion so humbly, asking him whether it was ok and whether he diliked him. How could it be? He was such a great man. Sean always regarded Gene as a close friend, and even if things had come to such a pass, he didn't want to make him embarrassed.

Seeing that Sean was not going to refuse, Gene tentatively held Sean's hand very carefully. Gene's hands were dry and warm. He couldn't help wanting to thaw him. At last, their hands were interlocked.

Sean pulled down the white coat after getting on the car. But he did not throw it aside. He just hesitated for a while and then folded it neatly.

It was a rare experience for Gene to feel that his mood was completely controlled by another person. He had a heartbreak just now, while this moment he could savor the sweetness through the pain unexpectedly.

He turned up the air conditioner and slowed down the car.

"I'm sorry." Finally, Gene broke the silence first: "But I think it is not a fault to love a person. I was wrong just because I kissed you without your consent."

Sean rubbed the silver ring on the fourth finger of his right hand again and again: "It's my fault. You gave me too much tenderness and too much warmth, but I could not repay your help. No matter why you are around me, your kindness to me is true."

"I treat you well not for this." Gene felt insulted.

Sean was quite clear. He smiled: "Not only for this."

The car was parked at the door. Sean got off the car and knocked the window of the driver's room. The car window came down, and then Sean gave a quite weak smile: "You see, if it weren't for my stomach-turning appearance, I would be glad to please you. After all, it's just a body."

Gene blanched immediately, and even his lips had turned pale: "I never know that you can be so cruel." His words cut his heart like small knifes, killing him without blood.

Sean stood in the wind with a thin dress, while his brows and eyes were somewhat flamboyant and magnificent as if going to flare the winter. He waved his hands and turned back, quickly disappearing in Gene's eyes.

The man fell in love first did not have to lose, such as William.

But the man would definitely lose if he fell in love with someone who was destined not to love him, such as Gene.

Sean entered home. His hands were frozen stiff. He blew his fingers to thaw them while changing the shoes. Then he saw the pair of leather shoes carved with Italian patterns which William wore on the morning. He was back.

William was very busy, who always went out early and came back late. He had no time to care about Sean during the day. They just lived their own life. William was busy with his career, while Sean went to the hospital alone. It was just fine. Sean looked at the watch, just five o 'clock in the afternoon. He really did not expect William would be back so early.

William heard the door open. The door of the study was opened after Sean walked inside the room a few steps. Wiliam was holding a financial statement in his hand, wearing a pair of gold-rimmed glasses. His voice was quite gentle. "Tell me what you did."

    Sean had a chill inexplicably.
