Jane had been anxious and waiting for her mother outside the ICU room for the entire night.
Jane’s mom was always not in a good health and she had been aged by the bankruptcy and her husband’s death. In addition, this sudden coma was also destructive to her healthy condition.
Then her both tightly clutched fists were wrapped into a firm warm hand.
At least, there was someone staying with her.
“Who’s her family member?”
A doctor walked out of the operation room. Jane stood up and hurried to him.
He took a glance of this beautiful young lady and uttered in a softer voice.
“Fortunately, your mother had the treatment in time and she’s out of danger now. But she was still in a coma.”
“How long it will take for her to come round?” Jane asked worriedly.
“Well, it depends. But she has a slight brain infarction.”
“Brain infarction?” Jane couldn’t believe what she heard.
“I have already made a contact with therapists I know in America. They will work with doctors here for your mom. Take it easy. You have me, don’t worry.” Wayne felt pity for her and just wanted her to be happy.
The doctor was astonished by Wayne’s words. He stared at the guy and thought: “Seriously? American therapists are to be arranged by you and come to our hospital this easily? This is a top-notch hospital in this country!”
Wayne Chen looked at the doctor and said in a deep voice, “Please transfer the patient to VIP room if she’s out of danger. I’ll go greeting your director first and then meet you both.”
“Who is he?”
After Wayne’s slender figure had disappeared at the end of the corridor, the doctor asked Jane.
“He’s Wayne Chen.”
“Wayne Chen? Really? The new most eligible bachelor in F city?” The doctor couldn’t believe his ears--the guy that had spoken to him a minute ago was the one that all men envy and all girls would die for.
While Jane didn’t want to speak more about Wayne and hurried into the VIP patient room to see her mother.
On staring at her mom who was still in a coma, Jane caress her hair, in which there was some gray ones that she hadn’t noticed before.
The princess of Lim family had lived a easy and happy life.
No matter which school she went to, she was always the brightest star.
She was used to be praised and admired by other people. She was truly shaken by the reality and drowning into deep abyss as her mom was ill and she had to support the family.
What Wayne was speaking with the doctor pulled her back from memories.
“It will cost at least millions of dollars.” These words fled into her eyes and blew her mind as she pushed the door open.
When Wayne saw her, he stopped the conversation with the doctor and turned to Jane.
“I have made some arrangements for your mom. At first, she has medical treatment here, if she doesn’t got well, I’ll have my medical team in America to fly here to cure her.”
“Thank you.”
Jane didn’t know how to express her gratitude except these two simple words. Her mother’s being in hospital would cost another huge sum of money. It seemed that she had to spend her whole life to pay for what she owed Wayne.
“Only these two words?” Wayne wanted to embraced Jane into his arms and gently touched her, but the doctor was still around there.
The doctor hesitated for a moment and then left the room.
Then two dark figures appeared at the end of the corridor. There were only exclusive VIP patient rooms at this floor. Only a few people could afford this all over F city.
One dark figure dashed toward them. Then Wayne pushed Jane away and dodged aside.
Then one dark figure after another showed up in this corridor.
A dozen off them in a mask and a cap came running to them from every direction.
“Don’t be afraid. You have me.” The guy pushed her into a patient room.
He fought with these black guys calmly with a poker face as if he was accustomed to this kind of situation.
His moves were precise and fatal.
But these black men were no ordinary one, each and every one of them seemed to be specially trained.
When they were in the middle of a good fight. Wayne’s bodyguard showed up with his team members.
“Go.”
Then these black men drop off some smoke bombs and fled away.
”Catch them!”
The vice leader gave order for this fellows to follow them, while he himself choose to stay to protect Wayne.
While Wayne waved his hand and make them stop.
“Boss, you let them go?” The leader was a determined big guy.
”I know these guys. Don’t waste your time.”
“Are they Jeff’s men.” Jane pushed the door open. She tried to call the police but she was then greatly relieved as Wayne had brought some helpers.
“He doesn’t have this kind of trained fellows.” Wayne looked at the distance and pondered.
“They come to me first before I pay a visit to them.”
“Boss, thanks to Frank’s message that I came here with our men to protect you. It was so dangerous. I couldn’t imagine what it would be like if we came here a minute late.” The vice leader frowned at Wayne.
If there was anyone that could complain about Wayne to his face, it was this vice leader.
The vice leader was far more professional and experienced than Frank Su, but he was sometimes too gossipy and didn’t watch his words so that Frank owned the position of leader of the bodyguard team for Wayne.
But the guy was positive and didn’t care about title. He’s satisfied as long as he could work for Wayne.
“Have two guard the patient room. You take the rest of them back.” Wayne finally invited the vice leader to leave. Then he looked Jane into the eyes.
“Let’s eat something.”
After hearing this, she did realize that she was starving. As a matter of fact, she hadn’t had anything since she came back from the cemetery. If it was not for her strong will to save her family, she would have passed out because of hunger.
So the two left the hospital building.
She thought this rich guy would treat her a nice feast at a fancy restaurant, but the reality was a small noodle shop.
The noodle shop was not big, in which there were only six tables.
“Hey, long time no see.”
As they stepped in, a middle-aged man in his 50s got out from kitchen to greet with Wayne.
The guy nodded and beamed for the first time. At this moment, he looked like a lovely lad under golden sunshine.
“What I always have. Two bowls.” Wayne then came to a table under the van and had Jane sat down.
“This is the first time you bring a girlfriend here.” The middle-aged man smiled at Jane.
“Good choice.”
The owner knew Wayne very well. He stopped the conversation and flashed into the kitchen.
Soon, two bowls of beef noodles, a plate of pickles and two free boiled eyes were served on the table.
“Regular customer?” Jane asked.
Wayne didn’t reply but picking all coriander out from one bowl and pushed it to Jane.
“Eat. And I have something to say after you finish.”
