    Chapter 24

Story: The Ten Years I Loved You Most[bxb] Author:Wu Yi Ning Si words:3835 Update time:2019-11-16 08:00:03

Sean was quite tender, not knowing how to refuse others. Feeling a little awkward, he still stayed.

Gene made soup and two light dishes for dinner. Sean didn't have much appetite, and Gene was so considerate that he took away the half-bowl of rice which Sean didn't want anymore but still kept forcing himself to eat. He scooped half bowl of carp light soup, handing over to Sean: "Eat some fish. Drink less soup. You have to take medicine later."

Gene did all these naturally, while Sean stared. He had some complex feelings, utterly confused. However, Gene didn't perceive how dubious it could be, and even poured the half-bowl of rice which Sean remained into his own bowl directly, mixing it with the dishes and finishing eating in a few bites.

Sean didn't even know what to say, but Gene didn't mind it at all. After the meal, he hummed as he went to feed Max which had been walking around the table for nearly half an hour.

Sean tided up the bowls and chopsticks distractedly, thinking that he should not gauge the heart of a gentleman with his own mean measure. He himself would not believe that Gene had a crush on him, a poor unprepossessing invalid. But how could a man treat another man well without any cause? He suffered a great loss out of William, who had robbed both his body and his heart. How happy it used to be, how painful he was this time. But he deserved it.

Sean stopped thinking as he couldn't figure out anything. After Gene fed the dog and walked out, Sean had washed the dishes and was ready to wipe the glass table with dishcloth.

"Don't you mean to hurt me? You are my guest but you have done all my work." Gene rushed over to take Sean's hand from the cold water: "It's too cold!"

Gene took a towel to dry Sean's hand meticulously, almost finger by finger. Sean's hands were quite thin, and the white blue blood vessels were slightly bulged, not good-looking. While amazingly, Gene suddenly thought of these hands tightly grasping the fox fur collar of his down jacket which looked mild and lonely, and then a fire started to burn in his body. Gene had always been abstinent and controled himself well, and he did not expect that one day he would indulge in psychosexuality when he held a person's hand.

He was distracted for a long time, and when Sean withdrew his hand, he suddenly reacted, feeling somewhat embarrassed.

"Go take a shower and go to bed early. Your fever was gone not long before. You must be tired now." Gene threw the dishcloth aside: "I’ll do it."

Sean was pushed into the bathroom with a soft smoke-gray bathrobe and a large towel tucked into his hand. He smiled lightly and thanked Gene.

There were two bathrooms in the apartment, and Gene hadn't finished his shower yet when Sean had got out. Sean took the new medicine, having little resistance to it. The more he thought, the more confused he turned. Finally, he couldn't bear it anymore, lying prone on the bed and falling asleep lightly.

Gene didn't go out until he had took a few cold showers. He had also made merry outside when he was rebellious. Out of his generosity and pretty face, he had met so many initiative hot boys and girls, which almost caused aesthetic fatigue on him. But he did not expect to fall in love with a man one day so deeply.

Sean was asleep when Gene came out of the bathroom, and most of his face buried in a pillow towel with little blue tattooed flowers. The bathrobe was Gene's, which was too big for Sean whose shoulder and back were exposed extensively. He was white and fair, but too emaciated.

As long as thinking that this person had been owned by another man and he allowed another man to leave love marks on his neck meekly, Gene could not control the petulance in his heart.

Gene turned off the light and lay beside Sean. It was a mistake for a doctor to fall in love with his petient, while he did not care about it too much. He was more worried about Sean's health. He knew better than anyone that Sean couldn't survive the same time next year without the suitable bone marrow .

Sean began to feel uncomfortable at the second half of the night. He seemed to be tightly wrapped and held by something and be cuddling up to a big stove, which wetted his temples out of the high temperature and he couldn't not tear himself free. Sean pushed it half-asleep, and then touched a solid chest of a man.

"William...... Don't hold me so tight......"

Gene was instantly sober who intended to pretend to be asleep if Sean found him laying beside him...... It was the second time he had heard this name from Sean. He felt quite uncomfortable, especially this time, when the person lay in his arms on his bed. He owed the right to cuddle him to another man.
