In the reading room on the third-floor, the butler gave Bery a report about what happened recently. After hearing that, Bery became more and more worried.
He squeezed his nose wearily, "Did he really say that?" The butler didn't dare to hide, "Yes, sir. He did say that. I think you really should talk to him." The butler was very worried about Reiss, so he couldn't help but talk about him.
"I know, but it's not the time yet. You have seen that he is very afraid of me. I can't force him. The only thing I can do is take it slowly. As long as he is still with me, I am confidant that he will accept me one day." Bery closed his eyes and said plainly. In his heart, this was not only a simple pursuit of a person, this was the vow for his future lover, he will certainly observe it.
The butler was so pleased. Suddenly, it seemed like something occurred to him and he said, "Sir, there is one more thing I think you should know."
Bery opened his eyes and looked at the butler with a squint. "When did you become so hesitant? If you have anything, just say it."
"Sir, I felt that Master Su seemed absent-minded recently. He was very sleepy during the day, but he often just closed his eyes for a few minutes and suddenly waked up, as if he was restraining himself from falling asleep." The butler was commanded by Bery for these days to take care of Reiss, so he knew his daily habits. In the past, he would not dare to say this to his master. But recently, watching their relationship was becoming better, he dared to say that.
After hearing this, Bery said, "I also find out what you said. In fact, he also sleeps at night. He shouldn't be so sleepy during the day. Before I get up in the morning to go to the company, he is sleeping with his eyes closed. He has already taken medicine for his left ear and he is getting better. Is it caused by the medicine?"
"Sir, I think it has nothing to do with medicine. Since that day, Master Su has never been to the studio to paint. He doesn't have much activities and he often gets back to the bedroom after you leave." In fact, the butler said this deliberately. He just wanted to remind Bery of not leaving Reiss at home alone. He didn't dare to speak that directly, so he decided to beat around the bush.
"I know what your mean, I will pay attention. I will find the reasons causing him sleepy. Now, go and do your won work."
"Yes, sir." The butler bowed respectfully and went out to prepare the lunch. But Bery was still in the reading room, he meditated for a long time. Then he turned to the computer, looking for monitoring storage files. Bery's villa enjoyed a complete monitoring equipment; all backups were saved in this computer. Just in case, his bedroom also equipped one, which was well hidden, and the surveillance videos here were only saved in this monitor. It never occurred to him that it will come in handy at this time.
Bery did not hesitate to check the bedroom video of the last few days. He sped the video up to the time after they turned off the lights.
There was nothing wrong at first. He and Reiss went to bed and he turned off the lights. Reiss was sleeping with his back to him, and he hugged Reiss from behind. Because he knew that Reiss was not used to sleeping with him. To not to disturb him, he chose to hold him from behind, but Reiss was usually very stiff.
After a while, things changed. Something in the quilt was slowly moving to the bedside. The curtains in the bedroom were not closed, so the moonlight spilled through the window in the bedroom. Through the moonlight, he can see clearly that a boy was kneeling by the window and that boy was Reiss.
Bery only felt that his heart trembled fiercely, like the feeling of being hit by something heavy, it was difficult for him to stand that pain.
The person in the video was sitting by the window; his nose was close to the glass, looking at the scenery outside the window greedily. He was kneeling beside the window motionlessly. His eyes were almost never closed, he only rubbed eyes when he felt tired. Bery continued to speed the video up for a while, but the picture on the screen had not changed. It was not until five or six in the morning that the person by the window started to move.
It might because he knelt all night, the boy in the picture trembled and couldn't get up. Probably because his legs were numb, so he sat on the ground for a long time. Later, he slowly climbed into the bed, lying on the outermost side of the bed and curling up with only a small corner of quilt covering his body.
Reiss sneaked down the bed after he fell asleep. It was two o'clock early in the morning. He had already slept deeply, so he did not feel the movement of Reiss at all. There was a terrible idea that appeared in Bery's mind. Reiss just watched the moon by the window. If he wanted to kill himself, Bery would not able to stop him. It seemed that he must strengthen the safety facilities at home. Especially at night, the doors and windows must be locked up.
Even so, Bery still felt worried. He did not talk to Reiss directly but waited until the evening.
In the evening, Bery came back to home and he had already had his dinner elsewhere. The dinner today severed a little bit late; when Reiss was eating his meal, Bery was sitting in the living room and watching TV. Although he was watching TV, his mind was not on TV program at all. After he finished his meal, the servants were packing up the table, and Reiss was sitting there stupidly. He looked at the busy servants, then looked at the man who sat on the sofa watching TV. It was time for him to go upstairs and go to the bedroom. Maybe Reiss was so full that he walked slowly. He must pass by the living room where Bery was watching TV, so he tried to step softly for not letting Bery notice him.
"Reiss."
The sound of "Reiss" was very loud, but it didn't sound like that Bery was angry. Reiss turned around and looked like a little hamster who was caught for doing something wrong. Feeling nervous, he didn't dare to move anymore; he stared at the man's back and couldn't figure out what he meant, so he just stood uneasily and waited for him.
After calling him, Bery calmly sat on the sofa for a while. Then he confused, Why did this person still stand there, was his voice not loud enough that he didn't hear it? Finally, Bery turned around his head, and then he saw that the person who he had been waiting for still standing on the stairs. Reiss's eyes were as dark and clean as the elk, which made he feel heart-broken.
