Lauren put her arms around her chest and didn’t take me seriously, "You haven’t received the notice, right? The role has been mine."

"What do you mean?" I stood up, looking at Lauren in disbelief.

She laughed briefly and approached me with an odd voice, "I mean, you should get out of the cast. Now."

I looked up and down at Lauren, who had changed the costume I was supposed to wear. I was so angry and walked towards Ryan Liu.

Ryan was Mary’s agent and I had also read something about him in Mary’s diary. I learned he was easy to be bribed and had a good relationship with Lauren in private. It seemed that he had also fuelled to the change of the role.

Seeing so angry I was, Ryan hurried to hang up and stopped me, "Hey, Mary. what’s up?"

"It’s my part. Why did you give it to Lauren? You helped her buy off the producer, didn’t you?" I questioned him word by word.

Ryan quickly pulled me aside and gestured to me, "Mary, listen to me. I have read the script. You know, it’s not challenging for you at all. You deserve better, trust me."

I sneered, "You should be clearer how hot the paly will be after broadcast. Fine, I quit. Cancel the contract, please."

After finding something wrong and I was not kind to talk anymore, he said coldly, "Don’t forget what we signed. Now, you not only disobey me but want to do a termination. Can you afford the breaching fee?"

It made me sick to think of those lousy shit like Ryan Liu in the showbiz. I rolled my eyes and said, "I’ve settled."

After that, I walked away and called Kevin. In fact, when I was Shirley, I was usually too busy to manage my own money. So I handed it over to Kevin for help.

I called Kevin to transfer some money to me and terminate my contract with Ryan as soon as possible. If it hadn’t been for the existence of Ryan, Mary may not be in such a position.

"I have transferred the money to you," I said to Ryan coldly. He looked at me in surprise and I left without turning back.

Unfortunately, when walking to the door, I ran into Jeffery head-on. I wanted to lower my head to pass him by, but Jeffery stopped to say hello.

"Morning, Mary. And we’ll have a rival show today. Where are you going?" He had a nice voice indeed, which made me comfortable to hear, just like a spring breeze.

I smiled and said casually, "You’ve already had another partner. I have to go. Bye!"

Then I left quickly and walked a long way before stopped and hurried to stroke my chest. Every time I saw Jeffery, I felt like a fish out of water. Seeing him was like seeing a ghost.

After leaving, I took a taxi to Kevin’s studio directly. He was busy with his files. I went into the studio, looking around. It was still familiar, the atmosphere and the colleagues.

But when a stranger suddenly came in, they all stared at me. Kevin saw it and came over to pull me into his office.

"How did you come here?" Kevin asked as he poured me a glass of water.

"I come to sign with you. After a death, I still can’t get out of your palm," I joked.

Kevin laughed, "Screw you. The contract was ready and what you have to do is sign it."

As I did, Kevin told me, "Just stay at home and have a good rest these days. I’ll arrange work for you when everything gets ready, OK?"

I nodded obediently. Kevin stood up and said, "Come on, go out and meet your old friends. And also let them meet you, a new friend."

I laughed as I followed Kevin out of the office, looking at my former workplace and colleagues. For a moment, I was overwhelmed by feelings of excitement. Seeing that there was something wrong with me, Kevin muddled through and sent me home.

"My sister moved away and I can’t get used to living there. I’ll pack up especially Mary’s stuff and move back to the villa. I’ll take a look again. Will I act Mary Yang forever? Alas…"

Kevin said quietly, "It’s not acting, you are Mary Yang indeed. Remember, Shirley is dead but her soul is still alive. Now you are not only Shirley but also Mary."

When I finished packing, Kevin sent me back to the villa. I lay on my long-lost bed and looked at the posters of Shirley around the room, signed.

Suddenly came the ringing of the doorbell. I went downstairs and looked from the peephole cautiously. It should be Steve! I had only met him a few times and my appearance now was not Shirley but Mary.

It was my home, why did Steve come here? Perhaps he came for Kevin. He knew that Kevin often came to my house.

Having waited for a long time, Steve felt like there was nobody at home and then walked away. I was relieved, turned around and went back upstairs. After a while, I felt much bored and walked towards my cloakroom, which was my favorite.

I was afraid my cloakroom was a paradise for many women because I usually took a lot of endorsements. I looked at my previous clothes back and forth and made a comparison in front of the mirror. Luckily there was little difference in the figure between Mary and Shirley.

I saw a note on an empty hanger with some text messages on it. It occurred to me that an haute couture was made to order before I died.

Since I have nothing to do, it was a good time to go shopping. When I was Shirley, I seldom went out to shop for the fear of being recognized. Therefore, most of them were bought back by assistants in bulk.

I found the receipt according to the note and left the house at will. Arriving at the downtown mall, I saw many luxurious shops and dazzling goods. I was delighted that I could go shopping with ease.

Basing on the note, I found the shop where my dress was. I slowly walked in. The salesgirl with exquisite makeup came up to me immediately and smiled, "Hello, Miss. What can I do for you?

I said quickly, "I’ll have a look and pick up a dress I ordered before."

"All right, please give me the receipt. I’ll fetch it for you." The salesgirl held out her hand as she said.

I handed it and noticed her expression changed.
