The next morning, I didn’t want to be late and arrived at the audition venue early. It made me surprise to see Lauren here. As for this audition role, the actor candidate needed to be a pure type. I knew Zhou was too cute to be selected, but Lauren was also not so suitable for the character. Being in this industry for a long time, I certainly knew how she was included.

"Oh, Mary! Your clothes look so expensive today, just for the audition? It’s not your style!" Lauren looked at me and said in an odd way.

She approached me and whispered, "It is fake, right?"

I sneered at her. It’s possible for Mary to buy a fake, but is it possible for Shirley?

The first one was Sam, a famous director. The next was Seven, a scriptwriter who was good at romance play. And the last one was Jeffery. But I was not Shirley now, so they looked at me as a stranger.

I had known the script by heart and understood the character’s emotions completely last night. This part of the play required us to sing. I remembered Mary mentioned in her diary that she couldn’t carry even a simple tune.

However, as Shirley, I had learned to sing for many years since I started my career. And there were dozens of interludes and theme songs by myself. Although it still had to be improved, it was enough here.

When it was Lauren’s turn, I had to say that her performance was not bad. But the emotion seemed to float on the surface all the time and it could not touch anyone!
